Weight Loss losing weight while breastfeeding, help! Jan 12 2006

When I had my first child (1979) I lost all my weight and then some while breast feeding. I ate a lot - both good and bad foods. I also walked pushing an old fashioned pram every day sometimes twice a day for hours. My daughter was born in February and it was cold so I just bundled us both up and went out.
By the way, she was never sick a day EVER until she started school.
If you are able to go walking it is the best excercise! Especially if you are a stay at home mom.

Thanks Christin,
But you can still cook the vegetables right? You mean just don't overcook them? I made the mistake of eating a lot of parsnips when I first started to eat more vegetables. I love them. Then I found out that they are NOT good vegetables to be eating if you're trying to lose weight. Apparently peas are not to be eaten in huge amounts either. Or corn.
That info came from a Weight Watchers friend of mine. Hopefully she is correct because I'd hate to be giving up some of my favourites if I don't have to.
Fitness 2006 WORK OUT PLAN! Jan 10 2006

That sounds like a really ambitious schedule you have there heiress. I was just wondering what kind of basic workout you do? Is it an aerobic type or pilates? or something else.
I tried to get back into doing my pilates tape that I haven't done for months. I couldn't even do half of it. and the last excercise (the plank) was impossible. Very discouraging for me because I was doing this same routine last spring with no problems.
I just keep telling myself that it will get easier and to keep at it.

Hi Christin,
That list is a real boost for me today, trying to find some new snacks. Where did you get that information? I new the calories in celery were negated by just chewing and digesting it... but I never heard of the others on this list doing the same. Thanks!

Hi Alison,
I'm new here too. I have about 50lbs to lose. Maybe the next time your hubby and the kids want pizza, you could suggest that they go out to eat it.

I am doing pretty good this time trying to lose weight. I talked to a personal trainer who gave me some really good advice. Some of the things she said were: Thirst feels like hunger to some people, so if you think you're hungry maybe you're just thirsty. Another gem she told me was this: If you fail to plan - you plan to fail. It is so important to plan ahead your meals and snacks. Even excercise times should be booked like any other important appointment that you absolutely HAVE to keep. Good luck!

Starbucks Menu To Include Calorie Counts
Californians and New Yorkers may take calorie counts for granted. While they've faced calories on menu boards for years, most of the rest of the nation has remained in the dark. Now Starbucks is shining a spotlight on their menu.
