This past fall, I had to make an emergency trip to Florida, because my mother was dieing. She needed a heart and liver transplant, but she could not get one because of her server diabetes. That realy hit me like a ton of bricks. While I was down there, I took  long hard look at our family, it turns out that everyone in my family over the age of 50, has diabetes and everyone over the age of 60 has heart problem. The other common denominator in my family is that everyone is very obest. Come January, my sister sent me some new jeans that was a size 28. I could not even pulled them over my hips. At first I was sad and then I got mad and decided that I was not going to get a larger size, that i needed to lose weight. Not just so that I could get into the jeans but also for my health. I don't won't to be dieing in ICU and can't get a transplant because I had diabetes. I am 45 now so that gives me five years to beat the health clock in my family for diabetes, and I am determine to beat it and live a long healthy life. I have lost 43 pounds so far and I am on a good common sence diet and exercise program that I have come up with myself and I am going to beat the odds in my family.

So much for a brief bio. hahaha!!!!

Oh, by the way, I have two beautiful, healthy, intelligent adult children who are very proud of their momma. They call me from college to check on my progress every week and cellabrate with me for my triumphs and I cellabrate with them over their good grades. We are a team and work together though miles apart for the good of both our lives. I am a very Blessed Mother.
