However if you're not supposed to eat anything with cholesterol milk is still the devil as is anything with dairy. I used to like milk, still have trouble giving up cheese but the sugar level is higher than I'm comfortable with regardless, I'd rather eat something that isn't going to kill me in the long run, and find absolutely no difference whatsoever with almond milk in taste or texture. To me drinking milk is no different than eating meat, nutritionally speaking they aren't hugely far apart on the good/bad scale from what I've seen when I studied it but as you say each to their own. My concern is cholesterol, and plant sources do not have it which is the ultimate yes or no. |

I did all that before. I dont run/squats/lunges because I have asthma and bad knees. I have ALL the DVD's (Serious - p90x, insanity, booty, yoga, zumba you name it). the only thing i can come up with is wake up 30mins earlier but that is also meaning I'm going on 3.5 hours sleep some days and that's not going to work with driving (safety first). Plus my housemate will probably **** about noise (can't even go to the bathroom at night) because well that's what she does being a light sleeper. I hoop on my breaks because I can do it in the reception or parking lot area and no one minds (like 15mins or so) it doesn't burn much but where I work is on a 5 lane traffic road so jogging or walking is not an option unless it's lapping the 8 car parking lot. Evening = 11pm when I get home sometimes. I don't walk alone in the dark outside at night. I just don't know where in my daily schedule I can do this to keep going. I'm so close and I don't want to stop. I know what works its just where can I squeeze it in. The gym seemed a choice because if I pay for it I will feel compelled to go somehow or someway. |

AS A PROFESSIONAL LICENSED TATTOO ARTIST : NO NO NO NO NO The tattoo is on you forever, you can deal without swimming for another week of your life until it's done peeling. The chlorine in the pool will mess it up - think what chlorine bleach does to color clothes. There is also the lovely amount of bacteria and other nasties that float around the pool and pool area that can get into your lovely open wound (because that is what a tattoo is) and either give you a nasty infection or screw up the tattoo. There is no way to cover up a tattoo to be certain that water will not get to it. I mean by all means try and duct tape contractor bags around your wrist because that would possibly work though it would take off all the skin around it. There just isn't a way. There are reasons your tattoo artist tells you don't go swimming. We don't do it to be mean, we do it so we don't have you come back and tell us the tattoo is screwed up so we have to touch it up for free for your messing it up. It's just a week or two. You can live without the pool that long, that tattoo isn't going anywhere. |

THIS. I live with a family that is entirely obese/super obese. The only time they will act/eat healthy is when they are around me. My mother is dying from her dietary choices and no matter how hard I try to help her she won't listen. I keep trying because I hope that I can change her before it's too late but its rather futile. You can only show them the path, you can't make them walk down it unless they want to. |

I made a diaper cake for a friend's shower recently. Happened to find diapers in one of her baby colors and ribbon that matched the gifts I got her. Her husband is army so I decorated it with green army men too and flowers that I got from the $ store in a matching color. Came out pretty good.

Consider growing your own foods. Veggie seeds are CHEAP, and you can save some year after year to continue growing your own. 1 pack of seeds can be as little as 99c with a good 10-50 seeds in them and it's about the right time to plant outside for summer if you act now. This way you can have vegetables and fruit you won't have to budget for and better your diet. I love growing my own stuff because I don't pay for it essentially. It means I get fresh tomatoes everyday in summer, fresh beans etc. and whatever I don't eat either gets canned or put in the freezer to use later but I always save seeds for next year so I don't have to buy them again. |

I suggest looking for another job. Your first job is rarely forever. If you know what you would like to do with your life then set yourself a goal and work towards getting there. Do some soul searching if not and try to figure out what you would like to do. JOB - just over broke i.e something to pay the bills with no future VS Career - pays the bills and provides you with a future with room for advancement. Chances are you arent going to be working there much longer and you're obiously miserable. Start looking at other job options, though without experience you are going to be limited. Consider administration or reception positions. What about telemarketing? Call center jobs do not require experience or physical contact with anyone except via the phone in your own cubicle and space that you can keep germ free. Me, I hate working with people. I hate jobs where I have to fake politeness and deal with other people's feelings. i also happen to be vegan and the food industry makes me puke in general. Therefore I spent years being a licensed tattoo artist (I could tell people to go F themselves if they had an attitude), and now am a successful freelance writer at home (where I don't deal with anyone except via the computer/webchat). It works for me. It might not be forever, but it's still a job until I figure out what I want to be when I grow up. Start looking for another job though. You don't have to be good at your first few jobs, they're just to pay the bills until you find a career. |

Well get back on then! Seriously, get back on. Tomorrow is another day and that's the only way you'll get further down the path and not backwards is to get right back on where you left off and keep trucking. |

Why ask for advice if you're going to ignore it? You have a calorie limit for a reason. if you're eating more than that look at what you eat rather than how much. Meat, dairy etc is all high calorie foods that you can replace in your diet with vegan/vegetarian alternatives that are healthier and lower in calories. Once you stop with your "starvation" the weight will just come back as you have already seen. It's called zig zag dieting and it doesn't work. You have to change something about your lifestyle. If you don't want to exercise change what you eat, if you dont want to change what you eat then start working out with more intense exercises. Burning more calories means you can eat more. |

brazillian butt lift from beach body concentrates on those areas only without adding bulk to the thighs. if you stay away from the cardio and just do the tone and sculpt work out you should get the effects but remember it's still a "work out" and to adjust your eating accordingly. |

On the flip side, I did exactly this and ended up in an abusive marriage 5000miles away from home in a strange country with no one to help me. Not saying that it's all bad but I made some very very very bad decisions at that age and looking back both with older eyes and hindsight I advise people from getting married too young. My best friend also married her husband shortly after they met (ironically they met at my wedding) and they're going strong with kids 7 years on. Knowing someone for 8 years is different though, by that point you know the person and they're not going to suddenly morph or show a side you havent seen until now. I'd still say wait however TBH there's not much point if that's the person you really want to be with forever and you feel that after knowing them that long this decision won't change and it's not an off the fly thing. |

I also come from a family with problems. I did have an unmedicated blood pressure of 180/120 in august. Not good. I didn't even know that was bad just knew the number. My family has lots of problems with colesterol, CHD, BP, stroke etc. Easy fix, I'm down to 120/80 in 6 months and steady to still falling a little. Watch the documentary Forks over Knives and Food Matters. If you don't want to use medication and would rather curtail your foods - as it sounds from your post - then start looking into a whole foods plant based diet. Most studies have shown that if you follow the regime you will avoid most of those heart and blood pressure related issues. Vegetarians are something like 24% and vegans are 57% less at risk for those types of diseases. The decision was easy for me, be halfway through my life at 26 or give up eating animal products and live longer. I don't want to die anytime soon and for the results I've had so far with my blood pressure alone I feel it's worth sticking with. I'm studying nutrition and everything points to the same conclusions. This is a page I came across this morning earlier by Dr Mercola (Orthomolecular medicine specialist) about genetic disease and nutrition relation http://www.greenmedinfo.com/blog/defective-ge nes-cause-less-1-all-disease |

I sadly prefer the arts world, less stressful fewer stupid people, even though I have a Bsci in IT. However, the fact that I have that means everyone expects me to fix things regardless, my parents being biggest culprits: 4am phone rings (we're in different time zones): My computer wont work, nothing happens - not plugged in. Laptop plugged in but it wont turn on - check the power cable not plugged into the inverter. I cant find the stick. - The flash drive won't come up on the computer because it was pushed into the LAN port. The skype wouldn't work. It says everyone's offline. - didn't turn the main router on upstairs. I opened this attachment because I thought you sent me something and now the computer isn't working properly - email wasn't from me, wasn't even close to my email address and was a blatant virus. How do I find out how many pixies I have? - How many MP is the camera. The printer isn't working and the company is out of business - its as old as I am, just get a new one. Why won't google earth load on my computer? - Because it's old and slow and won't load anything newer than 2000, use the laptop. I can't remember my password there's all these little blobs in the space - its pre-saved so you don't have to remember it, just click submit. My laptop is running reeeeaaaaalllly slow now - why? - I dropped it, but it still works just won't actually load to windows just the black part - no it doesn't you broke the hard drive. The screen on my ipod has feels funny - that's the glass being cracked. I hear them every day. |

she weighs 85lb - her "all natural" is simply being anorexic and underweight, she shouldn't be cheered at or given any positive publicity for being emaciated. In fact she should be shunned by the fashion industry until she gains and attains a more normal weight.
I like where the first google article shes she's happy with her weight even though she "exhibits signs of malnutrition". She needs psych treatment. |

Hey Am, here you go with the research on the ill's of milk, had to have this discussion in pm with someone before so it's on hand if i needed it. And if you read what I said I said "one of" not the biggest contributor of sugars in peoples diet.
Sugars in Milk research: http://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT0014969 5 Govt trials showing obesity levels in children increased with milk intake http://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT0128659 7?term=milk+sug ar&rank=3 study of lactose intolerancy in general population http://archpedi.ama-assn.org/cgi/content/abst ract/159/6/543 archive of pediatric medicine - milk dairy fat and weight gain. http://www.usda.gov/news/pubs/fbook98/ch1a.ht m USDA - cheese and dairy products largest consumptive product of fats in the american diet

I agree that soy milk isn't the best for everyone, but I havent found that study mentioned about the breast cancer link so I'd like to see that if someone can find it. I did see a study where it was related to a genetic issue triggered by a micro nutrient deficiency though. And on the vegan comment, I chose to become vegan after studying nutrition and it's effects on the body. I don't care if the cow is in pain or not when you milk it I just don't want to down the line health issues that I'm predisposed to from eating animal products that can easily be avoided. I consider myself a "nutritionally conscious" vegan rather than the hippy hug the planet type. |

As much as I agree with you about vitamin D - it's actually been shown to cause asthma in children being deficient and as an adultI regulate mine with vit D supplements - it is almost IMPOSSIBLE to calculate your amount.
The body creates vitamin D from sunlight/sun exposure so without knowing how many hows of sunlight per day you're exposed to your vit D count can't even be close to accurate. |
