I am a single woman who has struggled with my weight since my early 30's after my divorce. 

I embarked on a fitness plan in 2002 as I felt I was either going to die a miserable death due to obesity or I needed to do something about it.  So I joined a gym, hired a trainer and proceeded to lose over 80# over the course of the next 18 months.  The pinnacle of my new found fitness was the completion of an Olympic distance triathlon in Maui June 2004.

Then I lost my trainer and kind of floundered but maintained pretty much all the weight loss.  At this point it was about changing my nutrition plan as my work out plan was solid and to continue to lose, I needed to eat to support my body not sabatoge it.

So I hired a new trainer who really got in my face about food and eventually got me really on track with a solid nutrition plan that I could follow and was successful with.  Then August 2005 I lost him and my foster daughter and a bunch of other stuff and reverted back to my old friend,  food.

I am now 40# heavier and back in the severely obese range of the BMI.  But I'm back working out with my trainer who worked with me on food (as shameful and embarassing as that is).  But I'm here and starting again and hopefully for the last time.
