I know this is off topic, but the correct phrase is "eating fewer calories"  not less.  If something is count-able, the terms should be greater or fewer, such as calories.  If you can't count something, like water, the words are more or less.

So.... I am working to drink more water and eat fewer calories.  I gain weight when I drink less water and eat a greater number of calories.   :)  I know this is doofy, but it's just one of those little things that makes me nutty when used incorrectly.

Apologies for the interruption....

Foods Is white flour really that bad? May 10 2011

I think the key is to test how your body reacts to white flour.  For me, it's like taking a sedative. If I have a bunch of bread or pizza then I feel like falling asleep afterwards.  My friend Annette is gluten intolerant and she gets allergy symptoms.  Because I get sleepy, I simply avoid white flour products unless it's in the evening or it's a day when I can afford to take a nap.  The way to test how you are with this or any other ingredient is to stay completely away from it for a week.  Then have a day when you have a lot of it.  See how you feel when you re-introduce the food.   If your body likes it, you won't notice any ill effects on the re-introduction day.  If it doesn't, you'll know pretty darn quick.

Young Calorie Counters My Life Sucks. Can Anyone Help...: c Dec 21 2010

Hi,

When I was going through a rough time (post-divorce, economic crash, weight gain, etc), I found a therapist that was a huge help to me.  But one of the greatest things was that she made CD's for me to listen to as I went to sleep that really helped change the way I viewed things.  It is now 10 years later, she now has them online, and I still listen to them when I hit a rough patch.  I recommend you take a look at "weight mastery", "Super self-esteem" and "finding the real you".  They really help me and may be good for you too. http://www.zoilitagrant.com/products/cds.htm& nbsp;

Best of luck,

Liz
