I really don't like the new look. If it doesn't change, I'll probably go look for another site. Too bad, because I really loved the old site Frown

If you have Kroger grocery stores near you, try their Carbmaster Yogurt (it's the kroger brand, they have regular, lite, and carbmaster varities). It has as much protein as greek yogurt but not the same high price!

Egg beaters are good and Morning Star Farms black bean burgers are pretty darn good too!

I love to make soup, because it can feed us for at least 2 nights out of a week, and it's not high in calories. Just yesterday I made one I called Italian Pork Soup. I pureed some tomoatoes into a liquid, then added some water and sodium free chicken broth powder. To that I added some left over pork tenderloin roast, a couple cups of brown rice, and a bag of frozen veggies. It was awesome!

If you like avacado, try smashing some up and putting it on a couple of whole grain crackers. It's the good fat you need, plus it is filling. I do fruits and veggies, and try to stay away from carb snacks such as crackers (on their own), rice cakes, granola bars, etc because they tend to not keep me full very long. A small serving of nuts is a good one too.

If you have Kroger grocery stores near you, try their Carbmaster brand of yogurt. It is cheap because it is a Kroger brand, and it is very very low in carbs, and high in protein. It is like Greek yogurt, without the cost. I add about a cup of cereal or granola (whatever you use that is gluten free), and some blueberries. I mix it all together and it is sweet, crunchy, and a decent size meal. The whole thing is under 200 calories, and packed with great nutrition!

I do something similar w/frozen mango and a cup of yogurt. Thicker than a smoothie, more like soft serve. You can also put regular yogurt (I use Kroger Carbmaster) in the freezer. It will get solid like an ice cube. You then let it sit at room temp for a few minutes and blend it up. They have flavors like chocolate and cheesecake.

Hey, I wonder what would happen if you froze pudding and tried it??

Not All Processed Foods Are Created Equal
Fact: a diet containing whole, fresh fruits and vegetables is one of the best for a healthy mind and body. Although true, it can be hard to keep food fresh at home for longer periods of time, and if you have no time to shop every few days, boxed and canned foods become appealing. We often hear about heavily processed frozen dinners and processed foods worth avoiding, but there are minimally processed foods that do pack a lot of nutrition and may be worth having in the fridge or cupboard.
