I want to get better and be healthy and don't wanna drop dead!

I am eating 1500-1700 calories though, definitely...sometimes even more. I've been doing this for the past 3 weeks since deciding to quit "dieting".

I usually eat:

Breakfast- Oatmeal, Peanut Butter, Fruit, Yogurt

Lunch- Rice, vegetables, soup, maybe some fish

Dinner: Fish, tofu, beans, soup

And I usually eat fruit for snacks and sometimes treats.

I want my hair to stop falling out and for me to be healthy, but I think I'm eating enough cos i don't exercise at all at the moment. i spend all my time studying.

am i not eating enough red meat??

thank you all you for replying, i really thank you

But if I'm eating to maintenance calories, shouldn't I not gain weight? That's what I'm doing right now...

and what would be "real" food?

Thank you for your reply.

I did suffer from a little restricting issue back then, but have since recovered and gotten my period back, its normal again.

Now the problem is binge eating at least 3 times a week...However I eat 3 square meals a day consisting of protein, fiber and carbs (usually in form of bread). Around 1600-1800 calories a day on average with 2 cups of milk.

Oatmeal? I just seem to really like it recently, its sort of a habit cos' I buy these instant packages that seem really "neat" to make and taste...sweet. Perhaps the lack of hot carbs may cause it?

Excuse me, but I am eating to maintain, even though before I did have issues with eating/bingeing/feeling sick and restricting.

However even now that I've stopped restricting, I'm uncontrollably binging after meals and at night. I really don't understand how some people on CC are so pissed off at everyone other than themselves. ..

Sorry for the tone

By the way is my lunch super-unhealthy?

Today I had:

-1 Gala apple

-1 cup skim milk

-1 boiled carrot

-a few spoons canned corn and kidney beans

-cabbage stir fried

-tomatoes (lots)

-Chocolate drink powder, around 50 g

-Horlicks drink with 40 g powder

-Another cup Hot Chocolate

Is it really as bad as it seems?

Yes - I must agree with amethystgirl... sounds pretty odd, but healthy. Sounds like the healthiest binge I've ever read about.   You are probably bloated from the fiber of the beans - You won't gain anything.

But isn't "a calorie a calorie"?? If so, then I am scared I will gain weight cos' I've been going over... and thank you soo much for your replies...I think I'm having too much sugar, which is not so good, even though its mostly natural!

Is natural sugar counted?

No I'm aiming for a good range of calories for my age (around 1600) but been going over by 400-500 for 3 days in a row, mostly with fruits...

I tend to eat much after dinner, like 2-3 apples.....:( is that bad?

And that isn't a binge? How many calories around is that, can someone give a ball park? The honey must have had LOADS...:(

I rarely eat rice/carbs for real meals, but in between, I get cravings for carbs, and binge on cakes and fatty breads...

Is that the problem though?

I'm eating around 1500 calories a day now, but recently have been v. emotional, stressed and sleep deprived.

Thank you for your reply.

I do realize I'm borderline on the edge of having an ED...I MUST get back on track, with my head too...

I am rather sedentary these days, especially now its holidays...

Yes, I walk to class....you are right...but rarely exercise, just sitting in front of a computer doing work.

But how do I develop a healthy relationship with food? I plan to get started immediately, as this is taking over my life right now, and I'm only 16. Can't count all my life, I realize that.
