Keep a healthy calorie range, and focus on eating BETTER not less. Believe me, it gets harder as you get older, so starting to focus on healthy now will help you in the long run. Make sure you eat lots of protein and cut out refined sugars. Combined with excercise to build some muscle and the fat should slowly come off. Make sure your expectations are REALISTIC or you will set yourself up for a lifetime of unhappiness!! Good luck! |

I have had moderate success kicking the diet soda habit by substituting soda water with fresh lemon and lime slices. You get used to them and they arent so bad- even refreshing! It is the sugary taste that you crave with diet soda, and if you can replace it while still satisfying the sparkle, then you are set! However, there is still sodium in soda.. |

LOW CALORIE MUFFINS http://caloriecount.about.com/low-cal-banana- muffins-recipe-r1191 I replaced the sugar with Splenda and the muffins are now only 60 calories a piece. Maybe you could add some protein powder to the recipe?? |

I have been on Yas for almost a year with no ill effects. I have been on various forms of birth control pills for over 10 yrs now. Is this your first time on hormonal pills? Have you spoken with your doctor? Has anything else in your life changed to coincide with your social paranoia? Recreational drugs and stress are much more likely to cause these types of symptoms. Hormonal contraceptives are very low-dose.. Good luck!

I find that if I cut out starchy carbs except just before and after excercise it helps. I try to follow a fairly low-carb diet in general, and if I limit my carbs in the evenings it helps. You may find you are still getting enough energy for your workouts even if you cut out some of the carbs during resting hours. Good luck! |

Depending on the type of pill I am on, my period can sometimes take ages to start and be really light, or start earlier and be heavy... But if you don't get it at all I would see a Dr. and take a preganancy test. I have never missed a period on the pill. |

Different foods can upset the stomachs of different people. Are you swelling up, or getting gassy as well? I seem to react to certain carbs and vegetables that my body has trouble digesting which can lead to severe pain, bloating and gas. In my research the following can be reasons for bloat: -too much fiber too early (you have to increase gradually if your body is not accustomed to high levels) -milk and dairy if you have a lactose intolerance -certain starchy vegetables like onions, broccoli, cauliflower, etc. -some whole wheat grains Are you sure it is just the beans that are bloating you? |

If I am hungry in the morning before the gym I find it is always nice to have a small protein snack, nothing too filling. Try half a shake, or a small apple with a slice of cheese. Too much food will slow you down and rattle around in your belly if you are doing hard cardio. If you are just doing weights, you could probably eat more. I don't know if either way it really makes any difference at all to the results, just your motivation. When I work out first thing I usually go on an empty stomach, assuming this will burn more fat. Absolutely! At 125 lbs I have an A-B cup and at 145 lbs a good solid D. Watch those stretch marks as you lose the weight. Nothing is worse than having stretch marks on the girls. |
