I'm 5'7" without shoes and that's pretty tall for an Asian, but I have always wished to be 5'10" or heck, 5'11" would be a dream come true!! I've always liked the looks of tall people. When I go out to nice places, I'd wear 3-4 inch shoes, so naturally I'd be tall after that... but oh how I wish I could be naturally 5'11"! |

It is often true that the words "I Love You" have been abused... but personally, I have only said those words to 2 men ever, my ex-boyfriend and my boyfriend. (My ex-bf and I lasted for over a year and it wasn't due to us not loving each other anymore. Rather, it was circumstances so we decided to end it and over a year is way longer compared to a typical 19 year old girl's summer flings etc) And I was the first to say those words to them before they said I love you back after that. I always believe in making the move when my heart says so, and I was glad I did it, for both times. :) Often times, people always wait for the "right moment", even when they held themselves back from saying those words that they wanna say when they really wanna say them! I told my boyfriend of 1 year and 8 months now that I loved him about a week after I met him. (I told my ex that a month into our relationship) I couldn't describe the overwhelming amazing feeling I got when I told him that. I didn't give a **** if I scared him off for being too "forward" (is there such a thing?!) or anything because I felt that if he felt the same way about me, he would say I love you back, and if not, well it's over. It of course, depends on everybody's personality. I am more of a go-getter and I believe that if I have feelings for someone, I am not gonna let him get away and let other women snatch him up. He's such a catch and I am glad I made the first move and I can forever tease him about that. "Hey baby, remember who's the first one of us to say those 3 words... ;)" Haha. |

Yes. And the sugar is natural "fructose" and the fiber helps to keep you full for a long time + all the added vitamins. 130 calories is NOT crazy. By your definition, it seems that food has to be low calories and low sugar, which you could also get from eating rice cakes but they're not necessarily as nutritious as an apple. Heck, even the avocado, with all its high fat content and all, is very health-promoting. I don't know about you, but "eating healthy" is not just about calories. Or else people could just be eating Twinkies all day as long as they don't go over their calories budget for the day. I have never heard anyone ask if eating an apple is good. It has always been good! Am I missing a clue here? |

Oh dear, I don't know how long those food can last.. but I won't take the chances, because bacteria can grow.. and you don't wanna risk getting any stomach flu or ache. Is it anywhere possible to get some food while you're on the trip? At the very least, I think you could pack in food that can last, like apples and oranges, trail mix, nuts, cereal bars, beef jerky, canned tuna... you know, food that is actually "packaged". Hope that I helped a little... have fun!! |

I believe you. I worked some odd jobs before in sales & etc that require me to be out there promoting stuff, and yes people can be real cruel. I put on a little bit of make up when I worked even though some days I didn't put on anything my colleagues would definitely tease me for looking "plain" etc. But yeah, all the snarky remarks from total strangers like "Get a real job", "You're a bi-tch" etc does happen! Not too often, maybe 3-5x in a shift but maybe because the average Singaporeans are known to be quite reserved and not "confrontational". But still, those remarks were just nothing but cruel. I don't know why some people would bother to be mean to other people they don't know, but they just do. Thankfully I never came across anyone who would spit at me, though I had money being thrown to my face when some as$hole wasn't too happy about the price of his booze. :/ When you do a job that put you out there for people to criticize and make remarks about you, you gotta be strong and it helps you to build confidence as well once you got over the stupid comments. I used to work at Hooters for nearly a year, so I do know that physical looks do matter especially when you're earning tips etc. It's the society and like you said, it's the JOB. Can't handle it, stay out of the kitchen. I stuck to it for as long as I could until I had enough savings to just say bye-bye to the job. :) Few women actually came up to me to my face before to tell me that I was a **** for her boyfriend kept staring at me and I wasn't even their waitress :/ It shocks me how people can be cruel, but I feel that as long as we're not the cruel ones, we are okay. I hope that you'd get a better job soon because everyone has a limit to how much crap they can tolerate. Good luck, girl. |

That is such an amazing story... love's wonderful. Life is just so unpredictable... we just have to learn to not take things for granted and not regret anything. There are days when I feel like I wanna give up and just die, but when I read stories like this and when I knew of a sudden death of a good friend just days ago and he just celebrated his 21st birthday last week. That was painful. I know now not to ever wish for my life to end or think about giving up again when the goings get rough because I now realize that what I have now, which is time, is just precious. I never really knew the meaning of it until the death of my friend. I was quite desensitized when it came to stories like this before, but now I feel like life has taken a totally different meaning for me, for the better. Reading this, just makes me feel sad but at the same time, more determined to do good with my life. Seize the day, never waste it away, and just carry on because we don't know when our time will be up. |

Yum, that menu Ponderosa Steakhouse has looks amazing! I think with 700 calories, you can get away with a lot of things/combination. Grilled shrimps, green salad with dressing on the side, a plain baked potato and you can even have a beer/glass of wine to get to 700 calories. Personally if I have 700 calories there, I would go for the 8 oz Sirloin steak (~430 cals) which is the leanest cut available since I don't see a filet mignon on the menu, some mash or baked potato, and a glass of red! I hate it when dinner plans change too, but we gotta be flexible and do what we have to do. :) Good luck! |

You can take a supplement, but there's always ways you can include iron in your diet. Like a cereal in the morning, or a nice serving of meat and spinach for dinner.. etc. I don't always hit my iron target for the day, but if you try, it should be possible without even a supplement. :) |

Like what others have said, people want to believe in something. When all they need to do, is just to use the simple old way of calorie in = calorie out. Move more, eat less - that's the basis of any weight loss. I believe in calorie counting and to a certain extent, the type of food we eat do play a part in the satisfaction level of eating... if I try to eat 2,000 calories of candies VS 2,000 calories of meat, I am so much happier with the latter. |

I would stay away from them. They're so high in sugar if you consume them with the syrup and even then, some of it would be stuck to the fruits. If you need a good snack, this is not one of them, imo. |

Ohhhh no. I was once the pushover girl too because I just like to help, but not when I was betrayed and had money being cheated off from me more than twice that I stopped being overly nice :/ We have to stop ourselves from being used by others, really. *hugs* |

Here are my personal thoughts... In bars or restaurants, I don't feel anything different other than the occasional special treatments (free drinks, no cover anyone?) but I attribute it to me being polite and smiley though sometimes, I bet they're trying to get to know me. Flattering but I have a great boyfriend! Once, a waiter just told me, "Well, I'm sure you have a boyfriend, but you look like you can have more." That was funny. What a gutsy move. As far as my ethnicity is concerned, I absolutely hate it when people typecast me as a typical Asian (because we all know that nothing is worse than being bundled up as one of anything!). I am not thin because I'm Asian (I work my ass off to stay this way!), I am not smart because I'm Asian, I am not giggly because I'm Asian... I just cringe each time someone makes a remark like, "Oh, you're such a typical Asian." NO. :| Well, I have more, but these are all that I be sharing for now lol. |

The grades aren't so accurate, but it gives you a rough estimate on how good/bad the nutrition content is for a food item. |

I weigh myself every single day, once. It's easier for me to keep track and so far, it's been going on really well. It gives me the confidence to know the natural fluctuations for my body. When I see the weight going up unlike usual, then I know my period is coming up or something. :D |

| The Lounge | what do guys think of flat chested girls.????! | Apr 17 2012 10:03 (UTC) |

Exactly. I just can't stand it when people say bad things about the big breasts to be supportive to the small breasts. Of course men are going to notice big breasts, just like how I would notice a big d*ck if a man is flinging his thang around! If something is noticeable, people are gonna see it! I have big breasts and men who liked me or paid attention to me are not the kind who hang around because of them. (Or at least, I don't think so.) Whatever happens to intelligence and personality? People need to get some confidence, urgh. |

Don't buy a food scale then. It could be worse with it. I thought over and over again if I should buy one but I decided not to in the end because I have this obsessive, explosive personality and I might just have to weigh every little thing. BAD. I know that it's more "accurate" to have a scale but at the cost of mental obsession, I think I am better off without them! :D Good luck girl! :D |

OH YES. Brussels sprouts with bacon = taste like heaven! Now if only I know how/bother to cook it... |

The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
