todays menu is...

breakfast- 2 weetabix with skim milk, banana

lunch- chicken salad sandwich on wholemeal bread, mixed fruit salad

tea- (planned for later) jacket potato, mixed ben veggie chilli

evening snack- not sure yet!

i agree, put it behind you and move on. it wont make any difference in the grand scheme of things!!

hi, thanks people it really does help, i only eat wholegrain breads/pasta /rice anyway so im not gonna worry about it anymore, as long as its within my calorie allowance i should be fine Smile

 eat wholegrain cereal for breakfast, wholemeal bread with lunch (2 slices), and around 150g new potatoes in their skins with veg/meat for tea

i also eat quite a bit of fruit during the day too

hi, i just started calorie counting today and am on 1500 per day, i think i'll have a cheat night once a week cos mainly i'll feel deprived without i think, i hope it works for you if you decide to do it :)

no advice really as ive just started calorie counting today......just wanted to wish you luck though and try not to let the past few weeks get you down, take it from today and look forward to a healthy happy future :)

yes i wont forget to drink lots of water, im trying to aim for 2 litres a day but ive only had 1.5 and today and dont think my bladder can ake much more lol!!

hkellick, knowing me i will most likely screw up, especially weekends as thats when my weaknesses tend to rear their ugly heads....kids go to their dads so me and my partner tend to eat out our get a takeaway or 2 Embarassed. i do have a question though, i have a 200g piece of salmon fillet for dinner tomorrow and wondered if you'd be so kind as to give me a calorie count for it, i bet it'll be high but i do love fish and its so good for you, thanks if you can :)

clarkplace, i will deffinatley have a look through the challenges, not got round to looking there just yet so that'll be my next stop, thanks!

struzzi, do you find it easy to stick to 1500 cals a day? what sort of foods do you eat, i'll have a look through your journal see if i can poach some ideas Wink
