I read sections of the book and found it utterly ridiculous. It somehow turned fairly normal and common sexual behavior (oral sex, spanking, use of toys, etc) into something shocking and often creepy. Also, when describing giving a bj: "My inner goddess is doing the merengue with some salsa moves. " WTF? Who is reading and enjoying this book??? |

I'm aware of this. I already exercise and eat a balanced diet of 1500-2000 calories a day and do not want to lose any more weight. My question was if anyone else had this or had heard of any health issue leading to fat gathering in this specific area instead of elsewhere. |

As someone who has BEEN that person in the relationship who lost interest in sex...you have to tell him how you feel!!! Tell him exactly what you just told all of us. If you don't, you will just get progressively less satisfied, and eventually it will really hurt your relationship. When I was that "disinterested" person, my (now ex)boyfriend of a couple years was very accommodating and sweet, and when I said I was too tired/not in the mood, he would back off, despite clearly being disappointed. Because he never told me how he felt and seemed so understanding of me not wanting to, I didn't realize how much it was affecting him. If he had told me, I would have made much more of an effort. Your husband committed to you when he married you--he isn't obligated to have sex with you, but he did agree to try and make you happy for the rest of your life, and this is clearly making you unhappy. Stop trying to seduce him, stop beating around the bush and hinting things, and be honest with him! Best of luck to you both :) |

This is yesterday, B-on the road! strawberry nutrigrain bar and vanilla yogurt, diet ginger ale L-chipotle black bean burger D-medium butter popcorn at the movies I know this doesn't seem like much (in fact it was only ~1000 cals) but on Thursday I had a 2000+ calorie dinner plus several margaritas so I've been a bit full since then haha |

We have always made burritos. Bring tortillas of your choice, chopped vegetables, a can of beans, whatever other filling you want (although you should pre-cook meat at home unless you have a very effective cooler). Wrap up the burrito, then wrap in tinfoil and stick in the fire for a while! Mmm mm mm.

thanks guys! So, I just got back from the store after spending probably 20 minutes reading labels in the frozen food aisle haha. I found that Healthy Choice had the lowest sodium options (400-600 mg) compared to the others (Kashi and Amy's all had around 800 mg, and they also had more grams of food per serving). Also, the Amy's at my Safeway is $4.79-$5.99 each, and Healthy Choice was $3/each. The Kashi was $3.99. I got a couple Healthy Choice ones...we'll see how it goes! :) |

Been nearly 10 months since this thread but I just found it in the "my posts" section and thought I'd give it a gander. I just wanted to thank everyone again for their advice. I took all of it. Volunteered, focused on school, work, my friends, myself, and gradually the frequency of feeling sad went down from multiple times a day to once a day, then a few times a week, then once a week, now barely once a month. Ex-boyfriend and I are friends again--but at a distance. Just fine by me. You were all right. It does get better! Thank you! :) |

Strangely enough, for me, exercise can take the place of emotional eating. It clears my head and makes me feel accomplished even if the rest of my day was total garbage. You can think "i might be depressed about such and such, but at least i'm taking care of myself and getting healthier." |

yes, i could kill someone if they killed someone i loved. it would have to be in the heat of the moment though, i dont think i could go through with it if i was in a calm state of mind and had planned it out. |

lol @ kikt. Yes, pics, splitrail!! haha. So now you're 48 and he is 68? Yeah, i thought i'd post this because i'm getting morethanfriendsy with a guy who is 29 that i've been friends with for a while...and I'm 20. When I'm actually with him, i don't notice the age thing at all. Doesn't even cross my mind. I only feel weird about it when a select few people make snide remarks about this. I'm glad to see that the majority of you guys are all saying that it can go either way but your decision shouldn't be affected by what people think of you.
