@ armyste - Hey thanks! I've actually been meaning to get into yoga, but just didn't know where to start really. i'll definitely check it out. (:

@ dansmum99 - Sorry I didn't really give a lot of info, haha! I was actually 5'4 or 5'5 when I started losing weight, and weighed 153 at the time. Now I'm about 5'6, & I typically weigh 115-120 pounds.

Yes you will gain weight, but only for a bit. You won't constantly keep gaining weight, it will just be initially when you eat more, then your body gets used to it. It should mostly be water weight, though you may gain some fat as well (which you do probably need a bit). But after that, you will be healthy and able to develop, surely that is more important than gaining fat right?

Yeah, that's true - I guess I would rather gain some weight than end up screwing everything up. Thanks! (:

Weight Loss ladies: how much weight do we gain before our periods?? Jan 14 2011

Yes, it probably is. & it depends on the individual, but I usually gain anywhere from 1 to 5 pounds before it. & my weight typically doesn't go back to normal until a few days into it.

Nope, 1 lb. a week is pretty good. I typically lose about .5-1 lbs. a week depending on how much I stick with it.

I've found that guys that used to call me "fat and ugly" are actually being nice to me now. lol it's pretty stupid really. I mean, I'm STILL the same person.

Weight Loss I ate so much today and now I feel so stuffed and worried I will put on weight, what should I do? Jan 12 2011

Hey, don't worry about it! This won't even make a dent in your weight loss efforts. Some people even say that eating a little more than usual every once in a while boosts their metabolism, and can make fat-burning a lot easier. At least it wasn't, like, 1,800 calories worth of chocolate cake or something. (:

What usually works for me if I crave something:

First, I drink a BIG glass of ice cold water. Like, so icy it almost gives me brain freeze. After I'm done drinking that, I wait 15 minutes. Usually by then, the craving goes away. If it for some reason doesn't by THEN, I'll eat a small portion of whatever I'm craving. After I do that, I'll brush my teeth, and then keep myself busy for the rest of the night so I don't go back for more. (: Hope this helped!

Weight Loss just a little question about overeating... Jan 11 2011

Don't worry! As long as you get back on track the next day, you're not gonna even begin to make a dent in your weight loss efforts. Just continue to eat normally, and make sure you drink enough water!

I definitely see where you're coming from! I do love them, but sometimes I catch myself thinking, "Well, if she said I looked great or if he said I seemed like I was losing weight, then maybe I can just skip exercise and eat whatever I want today." But usually when I find myself thinking things like that, I'll just counteract with, "No, because that will lead to weight gain. Then people will stop commenting on how good you look, and instead quietly talk to each other about how you've put the weight on again."

Maintaining 5'7 and 130 lbs is chubby? REALLY? Dec 31 2010

I don't necessarily think he was calling you chubby. I think he was just meaning if you continue to gain weight, you will be eventually. There's NO way 130 pounds at 5'7 is even slightly chubby! Lol. Smile

Weight Loss What size would I be @ 140 5'2"? Dec 31 2010

Kind of a tough question, because clothing size can depend on a lot of things. For one, some people are built differently than others. People who carry most weight in their lower body and/or midsection are more than likely going to wear a bigger size than a person who distributes their weight evenly, even if they are at the same height and weight. Another thing it depends on is the brand. Some stores make their sizes a lot bigger/smaller than they normally are, so it's really hard to tell what definite size you are. Most store websites have size charts, though. If you take your measurements and find a size chart, you can get a rough idea of what size you should be.

That's pretty weird. Like tbutler4 said, you should probably go to the doctor. it could be a sign of something serious (although I don't know FOR SURE if it is, it's still best to be on the safe side).

I agree with the other answers - drinking water DEFINITELY helps. Another thing that works for me is brushing my teeth. It's hard to give in to something I'm craving right after I brush my teeth because 1.) I don't want to ruin the minty feeling in my mouth lol & 2.) pretty much every food/beverage tastes gross after you brush your teeth. Except water.
