Age: 21yrs

Starting Weight: 150+lbs
(I wouldn't record it until I hit 150...)

Current Weight: 125.0lbs

Height: 5'5''

Goal: Lose inches through good diet and exercise!

My Diet: I eat around 1200cal/day, or 1500 when I work out!

My Exercise: I'm working in a cube all summer, but every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, I go to the gym for about an hour and a half. My routine is usually 30mins on the elliptical (plus cooldown), 15 minutes of strength training, and 20 minutes of calisthenics. I want to be to 30-30-30 (minutes) by July :)

My Weight Log

Is it sad that I can look at this graph and remember exactly what was happening at a certain time in my life? lol. Ok, here's the explanation for all of the variations (for any who wonder...)

Jan/Feb: Rapid weight-loss due to beginning my diet! The little spike downward is because I'm a weirdo and when I get TTOM, I actually lose weight because I'm less hungry. You can see it about that time every month if you look, lol.

March: The big upward slant was our Spring Break cruise to the Carribean! Woo hoo!

April: Sick twice about a week apart... Two consecutive weekends of partying = not healthy

May: Finals! Lots of time in the Library and bad foods. Moving back home and a week long family trip to Gatlinburg also sabotaged me for that period. I pretty much went off-diet.

June: Cue summer! With a regular desk job, dieting becomes much easier. Putting myself on a schedule and having time for exercise helped me a lot (in inches) this month! It looks like I went back up at one point, this is because 1. my metabolism had slowed and I needed to slowly build back up to more calories, so that I could lose again and 2. I changed scales (my old one had been giving me too low a weight, which I discovered at the doctor)

July: Here's hoping I hit that 125! :D The weekend of the 4th, I expect, was canceled out by my "TTOM" phenomenon... so that's good, but I was kind of discouraged seeing that all too familiar "128.5" on the scale for a week and a half... My little sister's birthday at the end of the month, however, sent my weight ROCKETING back up. Post bloating, I was still up to 127.5... Drat. Well, I still have about 2.5weeks, and 2.5lbs to lose! Just as long as I hit it before school starts again: August 18th.


August: Well, as of August 17th, I hit my goal and then a little! :D I made it o 124.5, where I'm going to try to happily maintain! I'm back up on campus at school now, and the goal is to continue maintaining my healthy weight and to keep the exercise up! :D

September/October: Maintenance, maintenance, maintenance! :) I think I have it all figured out! Now I just need to find time to hit the gym everyday! :P Fraternity formal and Halloween are coming up at the end of Oct... I've only drank twice this semester, each time, barely getting a buzz... and I'm sure both of those occasions will include much more than a buzz :P But I've been good - I'm trying to plan ahead for that weight gain!

November/December: Well, through the school, I managed to keep my weight fairly steady around 123. Unfortunately, with classes wrapping up and finals and all of the stress, I could NEVER find time to make it to the gym. So while I am the same weight, I am definitely NOT the same size. With the holidays here, I expect to be around 125 by January (Which I can deal with. C'mon, its the holidays...) In January, I'm thinking about moving my maintenance down to around 120, unless I start exercising more, in which case I'll stay around 123.

Jan/Feb 2009: Hooray :) Its cool to say that I've been CC'ing one year, and I've kept off all of my weight!!! :D I still think about what I eat and weigh myself every or every other day, just to keep tabs. I've been sticking pretty solidly around 120-121, and thats been great. I don't really stress about it anymore or count calories... I just stop when I'm full. That tends to get me around 1600-1700 cal a day, as best as I can guesstimate. Its so nice to be able to have a little treat during the day and not stress or beat myself up about it. I do some strength training exercises every night to keep fit, and that's pretty well it! :) Hooray CC! And to all those who feel like giving up, keep at it, because its so worthwhile in the end. You can do it!!!

March/April 2009: Basically, maintained my weight! I never had much time for exercise, so I gained in inches, but kept my weight around 121-122. I was working part-time+school+extra curriculars+everything else! With an upcoming trip to France, there wasn't much choice, so I just rode it out and promised to be better to myself this summer.

May 2009: Most amazing month of my life! I was able to study abroad in France for nearly 3 weeks, where I had a TON of delicious food! It was wonderful, though, and I'm glad I enjoyed it! I have no idea if I'll ever get to go back, and as I mentioned before, I intended to get back on the horse as soon as I got back. (And I have!)
