any one who is 5'8 or 5'9 with a 26 waist or below?  That's what I'm aiming for! I know that heights do play a difference with what waist circumference looks like!

but It's already 7 pm my time and I'm not hungry, and I try not to eat later in the night anyways. Why would it be beneficial to take in more calories?

hey guys! I've gained at least 5-8 pounds in the past 2 months also! I want to lose around 20 pounds. It is sooo hard to lose weight in college. I have a dining plan where I eat at the cafeteria and they always have a huge supply of delicious deserts. For me, I have no problem eating healthy, like salads and fruits for my meals...but it's the deserts that get me!

Let's help eachother out!

One accomplishment: Last night I ran a 5k and didn't have any cookies afterwards like everyone else.

i aim to eat 1500-1700 calories

 

my breakfast is 200-400 calories

snack at 3 200-300 calories

and dinner 300-500 calories

It all starts with a simple diet, folks.  Dieting is the #1 promoter of obesity and eating disorders.

Sixty years ago, it was recommended that a 123 pound moderately active woman eat 2500 calories.  Very active women were recommended to eat 3000 calories.  Contrast this amount with the amount calorie websites tell you to eat.

There were no obesity statistics 60 years ago.  It was not a crisis then.  People were not dieting.  There were no "diet" foods.  People drank whole milk and put butter on their bread.  People were not binging.  People were just eating and not letting themselves go hungry.

Why is everyone trying so hard not to eat?  For the last 60 years dieting has been growing more and more popular, while dieters grow fatter and fatter.  Maybe its time to stop dieting and start eating, and reverse the trend.

This is very true!!! I wish we could all just eat to survive, not live to eat!

 

I wonder what the future will hold for food.

Guys!!!! I am soooo thrilled! I have had great success almost lost 7 pounds!

SW: 142

CW: 135.7

Plus I had tomato soup last night which is high in sodium so I was pretty suprised with the results this morning!

 

We haven't really done and posted our weigh-in results

hey its my TOM too! But things changed when i weighed this morning.  Even though I had a bad weekend!

SW: 142

CW: 139.8

 

Hey I was pretty excited! I am bloated though.  Ate tons of fiber and protein today:)

The Kashi Go Lean Crunch cereal is delish with TONS of fiber and protein

Totally keeps me full till Lunch!

How are yall doin?

You need to eat more. Like 2000 in total minimally..... You have a BMR of 1521. And because you excercise and are active you burn more... So 1500-1800 is not enough for you.

This week i barely did any working out.  I only really did it one day.  So I ate enough calories.  Just pretty much 30 min. of walking a day.

Congrats! Ya the last two days were pretty horrid so I'm sure I backtracked.  I will weigh myself tomorrow morning.

OK SO, Yesterday I was really busy and only managed a 30 minutes walk in. I had THE BEST breakfast though. Oatmeal made with soy milk and with almond hazelnut butter mixed in, and a grapefruit on the side. YUM. Today I did 20 minutes on the elliptical and Jillian Michaels Yoga Meltdown DVD on level 2. Also ate really healthy so I'm feeling good!

I'm not expecting much of a difference on Saturday. Since I'm trying to build muscle I still need to eat at maintenance. It's not so much the weight I care about though, more about the fat percent. Even though my weight is in the ideal range for my height, I'm still so flimsy and squishy, hahha. I don't want to jiggle when I walk around in a bikini! D;

same here! I really don't care about my weight since its in the healthy range.  I just want to be more toned and fit!

 

Weight will just be a temporary measurment

 

But ya Saturday I'm looking for a 1 pound weight loss.

Eat 24 almonds as a snack it will fill u up all day!!

Record you goal weight for Saturday's weigh in

 

Mine is a weightloss of 1-2 pounds so: 139-138

 

Some tips:

 

Eat a very very very low sodium diet on Friday and drink extra water so you don't have water retention for Saturday's weigh in!

great job guys! i just got home from an hour dance/fitness practice. ate great! I tried something today that worked really well, maybe too well.

 

I cut my oatmeal portion in half so instead of 400 calories, it was 200.

Then I integrated a morning snack at 10: 25 natural almonds: 150 calories

 

I felt full all day...almost didn't want to eat lunch....didn't feel like an afterschool snack!

 

Almost totally made me not hungry!!!

 

Share your secrets:) This is an awesome group who WILL suceed!

Anyone have bloating problems?  I really try to keep my salt intake low, but i've had soo many bloating problems lately!
