My October weight is 327. I am not pleased! I'm getting frustrated. How many pounds will your weight continue to go up while you are exercising more and building muscle, before it starts going down again? I know without a doubt that I am gaining muscle. I can feel it and I have been doing more exercising and some with weights. So that is a certainty, that I have been gaining muscle. But my weight keeps going up. When will it stop, level off, and start going down? Does anyone know? |

Well, for me, that is the only way that I can get any exercise, other than hydrotherapy, because if I walk on the street, I can only get a half a block. So, for me, it is better to use a treadmill. I agree that it can get boring, but I can't get too bored with just 7 1/2 minutes. LOL |

| Good job Liza! I can't do the eliptical. It is simply too difficult for me. Well, I might last 30 seconds, but that is about it. | |||

| Thanks for the advice. I have never heard of that. I may look into that. I have chronic pain anyway, so I don't know if it would help or not. | |||

| Well, today I resumed my Forever Young Diet and Lifestyle that the doctor had put me on a while back and which I had lost 42 pounds on. So I am expecting good results soon. So this morning I rode the exercise bike for 7 1/2 minutes, which is really a lot for me. I think that the only reason that I was able to do that long is because I have been doing "the bike" in the pool. I worked up to 31 minutes doing it yesterday. YEA! And then after I did the stationary bike, I had 16 oz of water, and took a 15 minute rest and then walked on the treadmill for 7 1/2 minutes. That took an awful lot out of me. I am not going to make a practice of doing that long again. I am hurting really bad now. And I thought I was going to pass out. I could barely get my breath. So, I may do 3 or 4 minutes on the treadmill for now, and do the other 3 1/2 or 3 1/2 minutes on the stationary bike a second time. Now I am waiting for my boiled eggs to cool down and I am going to eat 2 boiled eggs and either a banana or an apple for breakfast, with another 16 oz bottle of water. I am feeling really motivated right now. Thank you Lord! | |||

| I did hydrotherapy today and it went well. I talked to the therapist and he said that I have probably increased muscle and therefore pounds but that it would level off after after 5 to 10 pounds, and then I would start seeing the weight go down. He suggested that I keep track of measurements for now instead of weight and I would probably see the measurements go down even if the weight is going up. So I will keep doing what I am doing and see what happens. | |||

| Well, the hydrotherapy program is set up under the direction of the physical therapist, under the orders of the pain specialist, so I just do what they tell me to do, so that hopefully, I will begin to function better on a day to day basis with less pain. | |||

I am beginning to wonder if I will ever hit 300. I got to 320 a week ago, and then this week I am back up to 325. That is getting a bit frustrating and discouraging. The only thing I can think of, is that I do pretty intense hydrotherapy now, and am building muscle, so perhaps the extra weight right now is muscle weight? I am hoping that is what it is. In fact, I worked up to 28 minutes doing the "bike" in the water, along with weights being added to all my other exercises in the water. So, that is a good amount of increase in exercise. What do you all think about it? |

Welcome traveldiva! We are glad to have you join in fellowship with us, to encourage and support each other. I know losing 25 pounds in 2 months can be done, however, it is not easy. I will root you on though. Go for it!
I was putting my swimsuit on this afternoon to get ready for my hydrotherapy, and I noticed that it went on easier, so I decided to step on the scale. I was thrilled to see that I am down 3 pounds so far this week, with 2 days to go to the end of the week. I didn't start losing weight again, until I started hydrotherapy. I recommend it! |

| My official weigh in isn't until Friday, but I am pleased by what I saw on the scale this afternoon. I was getting my swimsuit on for my hydrotherapy, and I noticed that it went on easier, so I decided to weigh myself, and sure enough, so far this week I am down 3 more pounds, so I am very pleased. The weight finally started coming off again when I started hydrotherapy. | |||

Hi Molly! I usually take showers, but I would love to take a bath. The problem is, it would not be a pretty sight to see me try to get out of the bathtub. So I stick to showers. |

| Sue, I don't know what your physical or spiritual problems are, so it is a little difficult to give you any words of wisdom. But I believe that reading the Bible and prayer and resting in God are your keys to joy and peace. He is the source of life and joy, nothing else. Look to Him. He is there to help you, but you have to ask. | |||
