I was the exact same way. I use to only drink it when I was tired after exercising. But it really makes a difference when you make a decision to drink a glass of water with every meal and after exercise. Water weight sucks! |

take pictures of your self monthly track your measurements go try on smaller clothes (this is the most fun thing to do) I lost 15 pounds and I can kind a see a different in tummy and thighs. My ass and arms aint doing much though and I know because my measurements in those areas havent changed lol. In three or four more weeks I will be shopping for clothes to see if I can fit in a smaller size. Some people usually say they see a change in inches every 10-20 pounds or so, therefore I plan to try on clothes at every 20 pound milestone :) |

This is coming from somebody who only drunk water when tired after playing a sport and use to be the type that say "I dont like water that much".... I now drink a 16oz glass of water with every meal and I eat anywhere from 4-6x a day. I think drinking out of 16oz glass made it very easy because thats like knocking out two cups (8oz) of water so it dont feel like I am forcing myself to drink all that much. So I am easily downing 8-12 cups of water by drinking only 4-6 glasses of water. Way easier. Another thing that have helped me with preferring water is that in the past I use to try to gulp down water after I had my beverage of choice w/ my meal (juice, milk, soda, etc). Once I drink my juice or soda I dont even want that tasteless water. Now after I eat I say I can have my other beverage AFTER I drink my glass of water. So after I drink my glass of water I find that I have no desire for an additional beverage like juice or anything. And subconsciously I have been replacing other beverages for my water instead. and I am now so use to water that I cant believe that I use to be the one who dislike it lol |

well you have to remember that when you consume snacks that are high in sodium that it doesnt mean you necessarily gained a pound of fat. it could have been water weight from all the sodium you ate and was just bloated. so if I were you when you have to make those type of stops pay attention to the calories (siince calories is all that matters in terms of fat gain or lost), make sure you have a calorie deficit, and as far as the problem with sodium just drink lots of water to counteract it. are you guys able to stop at a grocery store instead? if so load up on fruits and veggies with high water content to cut down on that sodium that you may consume from your snacks. if for whatever reason you cant make stops to the groceries then you definitely should plan ahead and stock up frozen fruits in individual ziplock bags that you can grab and take with you on your truck stops along with bottled water. but always make sure you following your calories so that way when you weigh yourself you know for sure if whether its just water weight or not |

you know when it comes to motivation for me personally I just got sick and tired of being at the weight I am. and unfortunately you just have to get to the point where you had enough. there is no magic pick me ups. not to sound crass but I literally just had to get off my fat ass and do something lol. looking at commercials with Jennifer Hudson and her new slimmed down body along with seeing my freaking mother in law kicking it in gear to lose weight made me say "THATS IT" no more of this :::jiggling my belly::: |

Not an expert but just giving my opinion and hope you can find a solution.... Under light activity CC says you burn 2020. So if you want you could try eating at 1500 calories on days you do the JM and on days you dont do those tapes eat at 1200 along with continuing having a good water intake and you should see changes in the scale. If you want a more closer to accurate as possible estimate of your calories instead what I personally do is set my CC settings to sedentary and everyday I go to the activity tool on CC and log whatever exercise I did for however many minutes and you take that total minus 500 calories to eat by.... So for example if it says based off your age, weight, height, that you burn 1700 calories then for today when you did your did aerobics (I dont know if JM is considered aerobics or not) for 30 minutes I will find "aerobics - low intensity" in the activity tool, put down 30 minutes which my guess is about 200 calories but you would have to put that info in to see what that additional burn will be, and your total calorie burn for the day will go from 1700 to 1900 (depending on what number you got). So therefore you can eat 1400 calories or whatever that number you got minus 500. For your weight my guess (considering im no expert) is that you may be eating below your activity level which have caused many women in your predicament to not lose any weight (the dreaded starvation mode). but you do not have to take my word for it. I believe there are plenty of posts on CC where women was in the same shoes as yours and can give stories on what happened and why good luck! |

well your deficit is the number of calories you eat minus what your burn everyday. in order to lose atleast a pound a week your deficit should be at 500 (so for example if you burn 2500 calories per day and eat at 2000 calories your deficit is 500 and you should be losing.) Now I am concerned that for you to be doing some Jillian Micheals that it sounds like your active yet eating at 1200 calories. So it is POSSIBLE that you are undereating and the effects of not eating enough can also be the reason you dont see a change in the scale as well. I dont know your age, height, or weight but according to CC a 21 yr old female who is moderately active and weighs 150 pounds and is 5'6' burns 2270 calories. So for her to lose weight with a deficit of 500 she needs to eat at 1770 calories. Again I do not know your stats for me to say whether you eating at 1200 is a problem or not...... |

When I tried to lose weight before I experienced an early plateau but that was only because I wasnt drinking enough water and really couldnt see my fat loss because of all the bloating the scale was reading. So I got discouraged gave up and am now back losing weight again. few things that helped me personally this second go round I drink 16oz glass of water with every meal first before I touch my beverage of choice (if I even have another bevarage of choice at all. these days water has been my main beverage for most daily meals) I make sure every meal I eat a fruit or veggie with high water content (leafy veggies, asparagus, broccalli, watermelon, apple, berries, grapefruit, etc) pairing water, fruit, and veggies to any meat, bread, dairy, even sweets that I have really helped me counteract sodium which is what cause water weight. so when I weigh myself I dont see 5 pounds or 10 pounds of water weight in the way. water weight has deceived many into thinking they havent lost fat at all which is not true. another thing to consider is are your calories adjusted to your new weight? the more you lose the smaller your deficit becomes if you still continue to eat at the same amount of calories or do the same amount of activities daily. so are you eating the same calories at say for example 250 while you are now 220? if so you may not be keeping the deficit that you need to lose weight if your deficit is getting smaller due to your being at a smaller weight which means you will burn less than when you were bigger. to keep your deficit at 500 make sure you are working with your new weight. I think CC automatically adjusts though. maybe adjust your cal intake to this change or workout a little more longer? for me personally I love eating at 2000 calories and really have no desire to eat below that so I choose to workout longer in order to keep a deficit of 500-1000 lol. make sure your eating enough calories so that your body is not in what people call starvation mode as well. if you know its not water weight and you know you are definitely keeping a deficit of atleast 500 calories and you know you are eating enough calories for your body then go to what most people say about breaking a plateu which is switch up your workouts or zigzag your calories and see if that helps. good luck. |

losing eight inches sounds fantastic to me. then again that is because I am totally happier with inch lost versus pound lost. being actually smaller versus lighter just seems better to me lol. are you counting calories at all with this diet? if so what is your daily or weekly deficit? if its in the 500 range then you know you should lose a pound. and if your not losing then are you drinking enough water to counteract any sodium which counteracts bloating? if not water weight well have you been building muscle? not to sound gross but have you been releasing your waste regularly? you are probably losing pounds of fat but the scale could very well be reading water weight, muscle gained, waste maybe? if its not all those things then this diet may have you eat too little calories (starvation mode) or too much calories (too little deficit or none at all) |

My weekend was good. I am getting use to the working out for 2 hours thing. Sounds like you had a blast. When its a special occasion I eat, drink, enjoy, and don't count calories. I still try to workout if possible but that's as far as it goes. After the occasion is over I get right back to watching calories and eating my own groceries. |

I am so with you. I am 24 and I lost 13 pounds so far (started 7 weeks ago). I got alot to lose but my mini goal is total 20 pound weight loss or be one dress size smaller before I go on my cruise in may so I got 7 more pounds to drop before then and hopefully I lose enough inches to get smaller clothes. My next mini goal will probably be to drop another 14-28 pounds (or be another dress size smaller) by August. I think it helps to mainly focus on a mini goal and once I reach my mini goal I will create another one, reach it, and do it all over again until I reach my overwall goal weight/size. me focusing on trying to lose 20 pounds is way easier than me looking at the total pounds I need to lose. |

I am in. So far I lost 13 pounds when I started my weight loss journey 7 weeks ago and I want to continue dropping pounds. Right now I got a cruise coming it up and I am trying to be one dress size down before then so maybe reaching that 20 pound loss goal will mean I lose enough inches to be able to fit in one size smaller clothes. So in order to try to drop about 7 more pounds in like three or four weeks I decided to up my workouts to two hours instead of one hour. I started this doubling up my exercise thing about three days ago and so far im consistent.

this. ^^^ quite simply if you take an obesed inactive person and they very well dont eat much at all...they can still gain weight over the years if they drink alot of high calories drinks or their 1-3 meals per day are high calorie. those calories add up. |

^^^this I NEVER do workouts that I hate doing or I wont do them at all. Every workout I do (dance aerobics, volleyball, basketball, swimming, cycling, etc) I love so its easier to go for 2 hours doing it because I have fun. I wish you the best as well. |

I eat about 4-6x a day with meals that are balanced nutrition especially high in protein which helps me stay full longer and I chug a 16oz glass of water directly after which also helps me stay very full as well. |

The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
