I agree with eating more solid food, but it really doesn't matter when you eat food, if you know you have an issue with over eating after at night, then be careful, but don't restrict yourself to times. |

130 lbs at 5'5" is a good weight, you don't need to lose. You could try toning up, but you shouldn't be eating that little. It's extremely unhealthy. Try eating healthy food, but more of it so that you're having at least 1400 as the previous poster said. |

Also, you can have an eating disorder without being underweight, and start to get all the side effects vonapathy was talking about before you're underweight. YOu need to seek professional help as soon as possible. |

I know how hard that is! I hate how judgemental people are. Oh, and I looked up Kat Dennings (I'd never heard of her before) and she is NOT fat, if anything I'd call her slim and sexy. |

I think you should talk to a school councelor or something. Since it's your emotions that direct how you eat. but if you can don't count the calories. |

I don't think you should lose weight. Your bmi is 21.7. This is a perfect weight! It's fine to tone up, but don't lose weight. |

That's good. I was just making sure you didn't take the advise of the poster who was telling you to constantly work out. No offence to that poster either, I'm just saying what I think. |

Exercising to try to make up for your calories can turn into anorexia athletica. So while it's okay to run sometimes, do not let that replace your restricting. You NEED to listen to tigerlily89 and seek out some professional help. Maybe you could talk to your school counselor to start out with? |

You need to talk to people about this. Talk to an adult you can trust. This is sounds like the beginnings of an eating disorder, and you DON'T wanna go down that road! Stop it now before it gets any worse. |

| Young Calorie Counters | Net Cals | Feb 10 2012 04:12 (UTC) |

The net calories is how many calories you end up with. For example you eat 2000 calories, but you burn 2200 you are left with -200 calories. But if you ate 2000 and burned 1800 you'd end up with +200 calories. It's basically subtracting the amount you burn from the amount you eat. |

Your BMI is 18.8, which isn't technically underweight, but very few people have that low of a BMI as their set point. I highly doubt that's your ideal weight especially since you're eating so little. As a teenager the LEAST you should be eating is 1500, and that's if you do NO exercise and are trying to LOSE weight. You should probably eat more like 2000+ calories. |

For the week before the most I had in a day was probably 1000, that day I hadn't had anything, and barely anything the day before. And I get dizzy really easily, especially when I eat less than I should. I didn't realize I should go to the doctor. Even though I'm not near underweight at all should I still go? |

Thanks for your advice guys. I don't think they'll get mad, I'm just afraid they're gonna start crying, and I feel awful saying it but, I hate it when they cry. Also I dunno if they'll believe me since I'm not underweight. I used to be quite overweight, and then I lost a lot through restriction, tried to get better gained a lot, then lost a lot again. So it's been this roller coaster ride, but I've never gotten small... I guess I don't really want them to interfere though, I just know I should tell them because they deserve to know. Anyways, sorry for going off on a rabbit trail. Thanks again |

Well, from what I've read, you're not actually binging you're reactive eating. This means that you've been starving your body and your body is reacting by you eating a lot. It's better if you eat a lot while gaining since it helps you gain quicker (quicker recovery physically) and also will help your metabolism. It's advised for people over 21 to eat 2500 calories minimum with no or minimal exercise, and for those under 21 to eat 3000 with no or minimal exercise. This site is a great source for support. I hope you get more replies that can be more specific, and more helpful. Good luck on your recover! |

Oh okay, that's still a lot of exercise! Your metabolism will rev up and you'll probably end up with a faster metabolism than most people. That's what I've seen people been told before at least :) |

Bulimia doesn't have to be just part of your life! You deserve to be free of it. And that is very dangerous that you're throwing up blood, even if you're 'used to it', that's not good. Do other people know that you're throwing up blood? From what I've heard that can be a sign that your stomach might start hemmoraging...I really hope you're able to get help... |

Anywhere between 3000 and 4000, and as minimal exercise as possible. maybe like a half hour gentle walking, or if you like yoga you can do that too. That's from what I've understood from reading on this site and gwyneth olwyns site. |
