My morning favorite is apple, carrot and ginger.  I use one apple, two carrots, and a inch piece of ginger.  You will want to start slow with the ginger.

We always bring in our own food.  We never have problems with security checking our bags.  We then leave our backpacks in the lockers and use the picnic area they have designated.  The security check is for weapons and alchohol.

Disney California has an area with mediterranian food choices.  Very tasty!

Have FUN!

Next time you are ordering a Black Tea Latte ask the barista if they are adding a syrup you do not want.  Most Tea Latte's have an added syrup unless requested they are not added.

The above link is from Starbucks menu - Black tea sweetened with classic syrup and steamed milk.

The Barista can also tell you exactly how many ounces of milk they are steaming for your beverage.

Foods Eating Around a Wierd Work Schedule Dec 11 2011

My husband has an insane schedule where he is out the door to go to work at 1:00 a.m.  He can not eat at that time, and to be honest there is no way I am going to cook for him at that time.  One day I suggested he try an Ensure Plus to drink as he drives into work.  He found it makes his day more managable.  Since he does not like to eat while working (he is a Hostess Cake/Wonder Bread delivery driver so he is on the road all day) he brings a cooler with three bottles of water and a second Ensure Plus.

Cooking can be fun when you allow yourself to feel confident about what you are doing.

In Calorie Count click on Foods, then Recipe Browser to find a dish you would like to try.  The directions to make the dish are there for you to follow.  Since the recipe is in Calorie Count you can easily add it to your daily food log to count the calories.

Have fun with it and you will suprise yourself in no time!

Besides finding ways to get them out you need to find ways to keep them out.  In my last office after fighting the good fight we realized the sweeper under the front door had a small opening it in.  This allowed the ones in and out every evening.

One thing I have been reading as of late is lavendar is not a favorite scent of mice.  So cotton balls soaked in lavendar placed in places you have found evidence could help.

I also found this:

Fortunately there is a natural alternative to these rodenticides. Natural peppermint essential oil (also known as “oil of peppermint”) offers a safe, effective and humane way to discourage these damaging and potentially disease-carrying rodents from entering homes.

“Although the scent is pleasing to humans, mice are repelled by the scent of natural peppermint essential oil,” said Mindy Seiffert, aromatherapy category manager for Aura Cacia. “The oil drives mice away without the danger of poisoning pets or young children. Also, it creates a very pleasant atmosphere for people living in the home. Peppermint has a distinctive sweet, menthol aroma and can be both energizing and soothing.”

To discourage the animals from entering, Seiffert recommends putting a few drops of peppermint essential oil on cotton balls and placing them around the house. Homeowners can also sprinkle the oil directly on floors and walls and items, or make a scented spray with two teaspoons of oil per cup of water.

Seiffert encourages homeowners to strongly scent areas where mice might enter homes or hide, such as underneath stairs or in a basement. Also, mice prefer to run alongside walls, so it’s effective to scent the parameter of rooms as well.

The peppermint will remain an effective repellent as long as the scent lingers. This varies according to conditions, but generally lasts roughly two to three weeks.

I have just tried, and adore, Good Earth Decaf White Tea Vanilla Blend.   It tastes great hot and even better cold.   I had been drinking Green Tea a lot, this one is a very enjoyable change.

I really like the idea of adding avocado to the egg whites.  I wonder if the two mashed together would make a good egg salad?  Definatley need to try this one.  Something to smear on celery maybe.  Now you have me thinking.  THanks!

One trick I see people do often is to split the egg, remove the yolk and add hummas to the egg whites.  You can purchase so many flavors of it.  Or Laughing Cow Light Cheeses make a great add in as well.

Play around with it and have fun!

If you eat just the egg white it has zero cholesterol.  The cholesterol is in the yolk.  However, nutrition experts have now determined people on a low-fat diet can eat one or two eggs a day without measurable changes in their blood cholesterol levels.

Welcome!

That is the number of calories you are burning just being alive.  Then when you add in an activty the total number goes up.  Just remember it does not go up the entire amount of the activity as it has to adjust for amount of time you are using.  Basically saying you receive your just being alive credit for the minutes you workout.

Good luck and enjoy the site!
