I think more-I'm only 5'3", 102 pounds, exercise about as much as you (I run a 10k 4-5 times a week)-and I maintain on 1700-2000+ I'd think you'd be able to aim closer to 2000--maybe try for a week or two and see what happens? Everyone's body is different! |

Breakfast: Two packets of oatmeal, Coffee with milk and cinnamon (about 350) Snack: Yogurt or Fruit (100-150) Lunch: Sandwich or Salad, Fruit (400-500) Snack: Cookies, Frozen Yogurt, Chocolate Bar (250) Dinner: Omelete, Meat and Rice, Burrito, Spaghetti-idk normal dinner food? (500ish) Sometimes if I'm up late I'll have another snack-often like a bowl of cereal (200) Or ice cream--if I'm being completely honest here :P So all and all, about 2000 calories a day? I also run a lot-like 40 miles a week? I'm 5'2.5" and 102 pounds. :)

I eat 5-6 times a day easily. I just get hungry every 2-3 hours because I'm ALWAYS on the run, run a good 40 miles a week, and have a fast metabolism to start with. I have breakfast(like two packets of oatmeal), a yogurt/fruit between breakfast and lunch, a small lunch(a sandwich, salad etc) a snack around 3(usually dessert/t reat from starbucks/sometimes hummus and crackers etc) dinner around 6:30 or 7 (whatever) and then if I'm up late, something again around 10:30 or so.(often a bowl of cereal) But everyone is different-as long as you're eating nutritious food, I can't see why it would be a problem!

I'm 5'2.5" and weigh the exact same--I also maintain my weight with 1700-2000 on rest days and 2000-2300 when i work out for 30 minutes/burn 300 calories. So I think that sounds perfect! |

I'm 21, 5 2.5" and I weigh between 100-103 pounds. I exercise maybe 3 times a week for 30 minutes, and I maintain on 1700-2300 calories. So I think you're fine! If anything, you could probably eat more! |

Thank you so very much for the advice! I guess I'll just try to add an extra 'healthy' snack in there somewhere. Maybe a peanut butter sandwich or a half cup of nuts for a snack? I know you said desserts are fine, but I use them just to eat enough calories. I'd like to have 2000-2500 healthy calories instead of 1400 healthy and then a doughnut, chocolate bar, and 3-4 Oreo cookies (I'm not exaggerating-this is pretty darn typical on a daily basis). When I cut desserts out, weight just falls off. I'd like to find ways to eat 2000-2500 without feeling completely stuffed all the time. It just seems like a nasty cycle. :/ I've tried those Ensure/Boost drinks-my pediatrician put me one them when I was younger and even thinner, but they're just disgusting.
