About
| Bio | I am currently a stay-at-home mom of a soon to be five-year-old. My background is in teaching, but my priority is my son and husband. I met my husband in May of 2006. We met at church and both share a deep love for Christ. He is 5'4", which is a perfect height for my 4'9" stature! He is a firefighter and works a 24 hour shift. We decided that we could simplify some and live off one salary for awhile. At first it took some adjusting, but it is wonderful to be able to spend so much time with my family. I tutor some and do volunteer work for our church to fill time while Ryan is at pre-school. The only time in my life that I successfully lost weight was after I had Ryan and was breastfeeding. I think the weight also came off quick at this time as I was going through a divorce then. Emotional trauma and the 500 calories burned breastfeeding got me down to my lowest weight since college. The pounds keep adding on. More concerning is the fact that all my weight is in my belly. I am a 34-year-old with high cholesterol, and a titanium plate in my back and missing stomach muscles from an accident. All of these factors mean that it is essential that I do better at getting myself in shape. My husband has a beautiful body. Lovely to look at, yet frustrating that mine is in the shape it is next to his. We work out together, but I am lazy. He is a wonderful help to me and I want to improve myself partly for him. He doesn't care about my weight, but I want to be healthier so we can grow old together gracefully.
