I'm not a Vampire lover but let me see....

Normally I'd go for Brad Pitt because he's soo cute but I don't like how they (Brad and Tom) were effeminate in that movie.

I'd have to pick people not on your list... Patterson and/or Keifer Southerland from The Lost Boys.

All these funny Jesus products reminds me of the time my grandma bought my 3 yr old a Bible Man action figure.  My brother happened to be visiting (he's an Atheist) and needless to say he got a real kick when my son through it down and said 'But I don't believe in Bible Man!'

Is it just me or does Buddy Christ look a lot like Buzz Lightyear?

The Lounge moral dilemma - taking a stray cat to the vet Jun 15 2010

Well it seems like you were just in the process of incorporating this cat into your life so by taking her to the ver for vaccinations, etc, you're making it official and I think that's great!  If, by chance, there's something really wrong with the cat to where it will cost thousands of dollars then don't feel bad if you don't want to invest that much money.  Wait and see what they say tomorrow though.

I have a crazy story about the one and only time I tried to rescue a cat.

My son was at a b-day part at Chuck E Cheese and I was on my way to pick him up.  I passed a young cat who had been hit and was shaking on the ground.  I hesitated and then did a U-turn, stopped my car, grabbed a plastic bag and scooped the cat into my car on the floor board.

I went into a nearby emergency Vet and they pretty much said that unless I wanted to pay for it, they wouldn't help the cat.  Well, I had no money.  I walked outside not knowing what I was going to do when I see the cat jumping around like a spazz in my car.. crashing really hard into the windows. I was happy that it was running around instead of laying there dying and I figured it was just a wild cat.

The whole time I'm doing that there's a family hugging their beloved old dog. You can tell they cared a lot for this dog.  They probably thought this cat was mine and wondering why it was freaking out so much... anyway, I decide to let the cat out and hopefully get better on its own (I was late picking up my kid)... so I carefully look both ways.. no traffic that I see.  I open the door, the cat bolts out at top speed SPLATT! She was crushed by an SUV.  The family with the dog screamed and looked at me and I just stood there.. I said OMG!  It wasn't my cat!  I have to go!

That was awful... and while the cat was bouncing off the interior of my car it was secreting some clear liquid that made my car permanently stink.

Plus, they were talking about the injections they give themselves and instead of paying x amount for the kit, they've been going online finding the 'same thing' from Mexico for a lot cheaper... seriously, injecting themselves with an unknown substance in their bellies... *shivers*.

OMFG. You have to be kidding me!!!! This is something you inject yourself?

Yep. A pregnancy hormone I believe.

All I know is that a handful of women keep doing it where I work.  One girl kept doing it back to back and lost lots of weight.. of course, she also passed out walking on the stairs to get to her car and the ambulance had to be called.  She gained the weight back and is now on it again for umpteenth time... it's awful.  You should never consume just 500 calories.   Plus, they were talking about the injections they give themselves and instead of paying x amount for the kit, they've been going online finding the 'same thing' from Mexico for a lot cheaper... seriously, injecting themselves with an unknown substance in their bellies... *shivers*.

LOL I understand!  I squeeled so loud my office neighbors came by to see what was going on.  I hate roaches!

Does anyone watch Billy the Exterminator?  I love that show but some of those houses are nasty!  Soooo full of roaches!  I feel like they are crawling all over me when I watch it. I like Billy because he takes cases no one wants and he tries his best to save the bees and wildlife (not the red wasps). ;)

I don't see how you could be coaxed into doing such brutal things.  I don't know what type of people would say it was a fake.  There's over 100hrs of film being investigated and other dairy farms are standing up saying this is not acceptable.

Trial date is August 16th!

Tom, you might be able to make that judgment based on your daughter's maturity level, but wouldn't other parents be very likely to agree that their teen was mature enough just to end their role as a taxi service?

Or how about the lovely alcoholic parents who really need their kid to drive them to the liquor store to get more beer and a pack of smokes.

The risk of my daughter killing someone in a car is no greater than the risk of you or me killing someone in a car.

I don't know about that.  15 yr old JtheP was way more reckless than 30something yr old JtheP.

But we're not talking about you.

Well then where's the fun in that?  pfft.

I was driving at 13 and by 15 was driving around paying bills and grocery shopping.  I was a very good driver.. of course, I was also 15 so I would take my mom's car to the fields in high grass and haul butt until I'd hit an unseen pothole.  I'd have to stand around until the car cooled off and then I'd do it again. Embarassed

I've found that the best solution for me is meditation.

Rather than distracting myself from the anxiety-producing event, I try to observe my reaction to it without judgment, (feel the feelings and observe that process) and I often find that I come to a better understanding of myself, and then have less anxiety about whatever it was.

This mixed with taking it one step at a time.  When I have multiple problems it can, at first, seem overwhelming. I concentrate on checking off my list.  I take one issue, think about how I can resolve it and set my resolution into action. For the problems I have no control over I tell myself that it's out of my hands pending (time, money, doctor visit, etc) and that puts a check by that problem in my mind.  The list growing smaller always helps me. Also, take a deep breath - go for a walk during break at work or just distract yourself as you're doing on cc!
