About
| Bio | I was a skinny boney little kid growing up. When I hit puberty though, it seemed it all went out the window. Since then I have been a little chunky, and never could attain that ideal lean toned up body I've always wanted. It seems like I've been off and on diets all my adult life and would go from one thing to another. A lot of things would cause me to lose a certain amount of weight, stay there, and then I'd gain it all back because I'd give up. The most I've weighed was 160. I'm 5'3" and a very small frame, so I decided to try something, ANYTHING. Then we decided to set a date for our wedding - April 12th, 2008. I lazily dieted and started to work out, but was never consistent. Then I got in a pretty bad car accident and completely stopped working out (due to pain) and became even more lazy with my eating habits. I was 145 up until the holidays and then gained 6 lbs. Come New Years, I decided to light a fire under my butt. Our wedding date was fast approaching and I needed help. I went to see a nutritionist on Dec 26th with my honey, and he gave us some tips and prescribed us Phentermine. I continued my food routine (lots of veggies, fruits, yogurt and water), but was more strict about it... and started Phentermine on Jan 5th. I took it for about a month and a half and got down to 140 (11 lbs lost). Then I continued to lose through diet and exercise. I got real into DDR (I can do it no matter how worn out I am when I get home), and bought a few home dvd work out programs. I had a goal to get down to 120 by my wedding date and made it to 125. I was happy with my weight but not what I saw in the mirror because I was still flabby! After the wedding of course I put on 20 lbs and realized... 120 was perfect for me but I need to lose weight the right way to keep it off. I figured out what my body was sensitive to (carbs and sugar) which I'm watching, and keeping a good exercise routine. This time I have my co-worker, we go to the classes at the gym for lunch 4-5 times a week. I started calorie count back in April 09' and have been keeping the gym routine going since Feb 09'. I'm getting back down to where I was; but gosh, my body is looking hot! I can see my abs and I'm firm - not pudgy. I've already considered myself a success even with more to lose. Here's to keeping this weight off for the rest of my life! |
