for 10 of us...we spend about 200 -250 a week.  That includes no food items too. We shop sales and use coupons...

*sigh*

People are so frustrating. :/

I have data from employees that has to be entered within 7 full days or it is late per the state. One person just gave me her info for the week of 10/17-21. They are told first off that they have to turn it in quickly, but I still let her know politely that they need to come to me sooner next time.

She said that she hasn't had email or fax access the whole entire time (?), highly doubtful... but even so, we have a freakin' courier!!! Don't even try to play the 'it was just impossible' card with me.

that's nuts

30 years in Mfg. everything is inappropriate. I just wonder if the women that get those jobs have a different threshold.

Yes. I'd imagine female staffers at national associations have a different set of expectations.

I agree with you though. I come from manufacturing too, and there's very little you don't get used to in 'the shop'. :)

I work with mostly men and our motto is "it isn't harassment if we like it"

I MAY have made a small seen the last time she was admitted.  Due to her history, they admitted her last week when she had some streaks of blood.  I get that.  She has been tested for blood clotting issues, but everything is normal (low normal, but normal) so, the hematologist came in and said that we could try to give her some medicine that would cost about 100 a day after insurance, that will make her sick to her stomach, dizzy and overall sick...it would be 32 pills a day she would take...these pills MAY help her stop bleeding but since she doesn't have bleeding issues, they may not be needed.  I was like "are you kidding me?  do parents really do that?  just give meds when aren't needed?"  THEN...after checking her out and declaring her fine, but want to watch her, she had gone 22 hours without any food...she was cramped over in pain from hunger...remember, already lost 10% of body weight in 3 weeks...they wouldn't let her eat due to a slight surgery risk.  I may have gone to the cafeteria and got her dinner. (they knew I was going to and agreed but had to follow policy).

I am SO done with hospitals for a while

hey kae!  loooong time.  how're things going?

to be honest, not so great, but we made it through with minimal lasting damage.  Life happens...roll with it and it lets you back out again.  One of the benefits of being an old geezer is you learn that :)

Weight is back up, but working on it again...

been facebook stalking so kept up as much as I could :)

how's the new apartment?

What's going on with your daughter, if you don't mind saying?  I saw a couple facebook updates but was sort of clueless as to what happened.

she got her tonsils and adenoids out.  Sounds simple right?  NOPE.  She couldn't stop throwing up after the operation so was admitted for fluids since she was so dehydrated (she is tiny, 5'3" and 100 lbs)  she had a horrible recover and couldn't stop spitting up phloem and crap.  Blood started to come up from the scabs, so she had to go back in for a 2nd surgery to fix it...5 days later...it happened again.  3 surgeries in 12 days.  we had a scare last week, but the blood stopped on it's own.  She has dropped to 90 lbs, but is finally starting to get better.  It's been hard.

So I'm not moving today. Probably Tuesday.

No desk?  Are you sitting on the floor?

I have the desk. But everything will get moved out into the open space outside boss's office on Tuesday.

Happy Friday, everyone!

Wow Kathy, you should be up for sainthood! I'm not sure I could have that many 'guests' in my house for that long.  How awesome that you have been that helpful and accommodating for your family/friends.

it really isn't something you plan...it just sorta happens.

Morning K&K!

Fresh oragne juice sounds heavenly right now. I've only got apple juice at home, but an omlett is definitely a good idea.

I think I also have chicken breast in my fridge - and it is past lunchtim here...

good point, we need to start cooking lunch for our friends across the pond.

For those who didn't know...we have had my sister, her 2 sons, and my daughter's ex boyfriend living with us for a year now. well over a year for the boy...they are all moving out soon!  My sister is getting married in June and the boy moving in April.  We will have our house back...no more 9 in the house...just us 5...4 really since J is in college...SOOO excited

LOVING 40's so far.  Turned 40 in June and I feel like my life is opening up for ME...not my kids, not my hubby for ME.  I love my husband...love my kids, but I love me too!

Here's a question. You are walking down an alley alone with no weapon. A guy approach you with a knife in hand. What do you do?

give him some cheese to cut to eat with some crackers?

I feel like I shouldn't complain though... due to some close friends' situations.

I know what you mean.  I have a great, although often boring, job...I feel bad complaining...

but I don't sit next to gross people.
