Bio

I am 24 years old, and this is the first real time I've ever really tried anything to get my weight under control.  I think I was always at least a little bit on the heavier side of normal, even as a child.  My mother says she referred to me as "sturdy" when I was little.  I did some sports as a kid, but as I got bigger and heavier, my body image and (some parts of my) self esteem kind of went out the window, so the only sport I continued was bowling, where I didn't have to fit into a uniform or wear shorts.

They say my ideal body weight is around 136, so I have that as my goal, but I don't know if I will reach that far.  Mostly, I'm just hoping to get to a healthier weight where I can live, so I'll lose as much as I can.  There are definitely some stumbling blocks for me -- I love sweets and more fatty and starchy foods, I don't like to go to gyms, and I don't always have a lot of time on my hands.  I plan to try and eat a bit healthier on a general basis while cutting down on the number of times I eat crappy foods.  WiiFit will be my friend, if I can stick to doing it every day.  I'm doing this with a partner (my mom), so we are going to keep each other on track as much as possible.
