The Lounge My nephew's sexuality is confusing? Gay, straight or bi - he doesn't seem to know. Aug 10 2012

I too have read that incidents of suicide is much higher in gay teens.  I wonder if that figure is starting to level off now?    With crazies like the Westboro Baptist church, it's no wonder these young people have a hard time loving / accepting themselves.  I feel like I am on a mission with my nephew.  I want to honor my brother's life and do right by him with his son.  We were in a petty argument (over money) before he died (39-yoa, car accident)  and this is one way I can make ammends to him.  Love you BRO!

I think Facebutt is a pretty funny nickname for Facebook.

Either people are showing their as*s or acting like one.  We've called it facebutt at work for so long, I forgot what it was called.

Homosexuality is caused largely by demonic influences. Those feelings are not "natural" At one time psychology text books did label it as a mental disorder. I think thats true .What you need to do is pray for the person that they can be delivered from it.

I conducted an exorcism on my nephew last night with the help of a priest.  I'm pretty sure the gay demon flew out - possibly why they call it a flamer.  The priest asked for my nephews number and invited him to visit, just for counseling of course.  Yes, thank god religion has it all figured out.

I do believe the dick drawing context has to be taken into consideration.  Some dick drawing funny, -restaurant at other co-workers -  hilarious.  Band class in school,  ok also  hilarious!  Where would this be not-so- funny - church, a wedding (still funny) hmmm

Thanks everyone - I got some valuable feedback that made me think.  I believe it's my husband that is more adamant about "picking a team" and possibly less open minded than he wants to believe.  My nephew is 14.  His father (my bro) died in a car accident almost 9 yrs ago.  His mother distanced herself from our family (now I know why).  A few months ago children's services called and he was in foster care due to abuse, neglect and abandonment.  He's been the round of counselors and says he wants nothing more to do with it.   I think I will just relax - and yes I forgot about the movie where the kid was obsessed with pen*s and drawing them all the time.  Didn't seem so weird in the movie.  Good advice

Woah, woah.  I did not intend for this to be a thread about why I should let my boyfriend have sex with someone else in front of me.  That is not a solution to cheating, it's just letting him cheat.  I also am not asking for sex tips, that's kind of personal (although I can see why it looked that way)

I wasn't suggesting that. I was suggesting that you participate.

I mean, you could take on an observational role, if that's your thing...

... and yes, it is a solution to cheating. Cheating isn't sex. Sex is sex. Cheating is a betrayal of trust caused by the violation of boundaries set in your relationship. If bringing in third (fourth/fifth) parties in for sex is permitted within your relationship, then it is not cheating by definition.

And just think of the hilarity that might ensue if that third, forth or fifth party later shows up with a sixth party...in the form of your husband's baby!

WOW!  YOu hit that right on the nail!  I like you

Bright - I support you!  Your art, whatever form will be beautiful. I love art and live in an artist community (have several artist friends)  I always thought it would be a tough thing to do because I have to be inspired to create.  So you need a muse....some inspiration.  Failure is not in our vocabulary! Sealed  I agree with Jane, just start and it will happen.

Really great article - thanks for posting.  I'm fortunate that I have always been nutritionally savvy - (thanks mom & dad).  I still didn't know someone could gain weight eating that few calories though.  Yikes - good to know.  Also I clicked on the calorie count for Subway sandwiches.  I wanted to think they were not too bad (cuz Jared eats em and looses weight)  Not so!

Holy Canolli  - I just noticed that baby back ribs at Chili's are almost 1400 calories.  Yikes.  I always thought that was rather safe since it would be somewhat lower carbs.  The buffalo chicken salad is almost 900.  Cream of wheat! (my new swear)...I want to eat out tonight with the hubby and I thought about Chili's but I don't want to eat carrot sticks.  Jeez, Calorie Count has been a real eye opener for me. Surprised  I am eating salad and low on fiber, over on sodium.  I thought I was eating rather healthy so this has been good for me.

YOur right, it is very educational.  I never realized how much sodium I get in my diet - even when I'm really "watching it."  God knows how much sodium I'm getting when I'm not watching it.  I never use salt or salt my food either so I thought I would be low....I'm always high though.  Those healthy choice steamers are loaded with salt.

You might check out the book Wheat Belly by William Davis.  My daughter and husband have both recently lost 35 pounds, and are still losing, by giving up wheat. They have replaced wheat with single ingredient foods (nuts, fruit, vegetables, meat, etc.) Once you learn what geneticists have done to wheat, you won't want to eat it. Wheat was re-engineered in the 1970s to increase yield.  The "new" wheat, which we all have been eating since the early 1980s, causes an increase in appetite, because of the gliadin in it. No human testing was done with the new wheat.  After reading the book, I put my husband on a wheat-free diet to see if his triglyceride levels would come down.  For the first time, his triglyceride levels were in the normal range (138), after being in the high-risk range (anywhere from 400-1100).

Good to know.  I never thought of triglycerides.  I'm going to read the book myself and see if I can get my hubby's tri...down

I had a tattoo removed from my shoulder.  It was SUPER painful, they burn the top layer of skin off, over and over and over.  I still think it was worth it.  Just a rose but the color was ugly and I hated the tattoo for years.  Laser is becoming more affordable though.

Changing it to something else will work if you get a good tattoo artist.  Otherwise it could become a bigger, uglier blob and take more time and money to remove.  I am thankful I had mine removed.  You could never tell I had a tattoo there.

I really had to laugh at the line of thinking here.  He never said anything about marriage / or gay marriage.  It was a silly pun....no but in love. HA!  I'm still laughing.   Time for tea.....

C'mon you guys - where did we get off on a tangent of marrying dogs.  Did you not get the "butt" pun here.  There's no "but" in love - he's gay, .....read between the lines.  There's no dog marrying here, just some good old fashioned sodo*y.  (not that there's anything wrong with that to be politically correct.)Foot in mouth

Stop Saturday delivery and run it like a business model - they may have to lay some people off, but it is better than everyone loosing their job.  Also, their pensions are high - higher than most and that needs a makeover.  I don't know enough about their pensions to say what reform, however my uncle was raking it in from his USPS pension, better than the army and law enforcement.

Are Nutrition Facts Labels Accurate?
Being a health and calorie conscious eater, I like to think of nutrition facts labels as my nutrition information go-to, a cheat sheet of sorts. Despite the vast amount of info, there are definitely gaps. A nutrition label doesn’t reveal everything a consumer should know, and can even be misleading.
