i'm originally from ohio, by way of 8 years in florida, and now am living in argentina with my spouse.  she can't move to the u.s. because we're a same-sex couple and the government doesn't recognize our relationship, so we are living in a slightly more progressive (at least in terms of immigration) place for now :).  just our luck that this country surrounds us with barbecues, pastas and pastries!  we've been married for about 2 years and have 'thought' about dieting before, but i think we're starting to take it seriously now.  we even bought a scale!
