I agree with the other posters regarding detoxes, however, I've suffered with digestive issues for a few years and my doctor can't find anything wrong (I would recommend visiting your doctor first if you haven't already) so I visited a clinic that specialises in gastro-intestinal problems and they said I have low levels of hydrochloric acid in my stomach so nothing is being digested properly, leading to a build up in undigested food and bacteria in my large intestine. They advised me to take a HCL/HCI supplement. I've only been taking it for 2 days so can't tell you if it helps but it may be worth investigation if your doctor can't help. |

We have a monthly recognition scheme and before it was introduced by boss sent round an email asking everyone what they'd like if and when it's their turn, up to a certain value. Some people don't drink, eat chocolate etc so it's nice to be given an option. |

Try double clicking your home key and all your active icons will come up in a bar along the bottom. Hold your finger over one of them for a couple of seconds and then close the app down by pressing the stop icon. Try re-opening it from the start and see if that helps |

A couple of days ago I did a cod fillet in a foil parcel topped with low fat cream cheese, wilted spinach, cooked garlic, parsley, a little pecorino cheese and bake it for 20 mins. It was really good. Monkfish, fresh Tuna and Swordfish are good if you're not keen on the flaky texture, they're a bit meatier than others. |

| Fitness | six pack abs | Apr 03 2013 20:54 (UTC) |

| I had a decent 4-6 pack last year during my half marathon training. I have no idea what my body fat percentage was but I was running around 35 miles per week and lifting heavy weights 3 x per week as well as eating really clean with no 'empty' calories, including no alcohol. As soon as the race was done the strict diet disappeared and so did my abs :(. They are ridiculously hard to maintain | |||

| I don't see how your response or that article is relevant to my question. I didn't ask your opinion on elimination diets as a form of allergy testing either. From my understanding if you had specific problem in the US you make an appointment with a specialist, in the UK you go to a general practitioner who will either give you a prescription that 'might work, come back if it doesn't' it refer you to a specialist, which can take anything up to 3 months depending on the severity of your situation. I was told I could try an elimination diet as one of my options | |||

I've just had a quick look at your calorie camp and there's no posts showing. This might be because you've logged them as private by mistake or you've logged a daily intake of less than 1200 calorie, which don't show on the calorie camp feed due to the posting rules regarding undereating. |

Hi, I live in the UK. I find that the whole foods are fine but I can't always find processed foods as the database is mostly US products. If that happens I use the information on the UK packaging to work out the calories in my serving and match it as closely as I can using a product on the database. Hope that helps! |

| Weight Loss | GLUTEN FREE - Few reasons & questions | Jan 04 2013 15:41 (UTC) |

| If eliminating gluten means you stop eating bread, pastries, donuts, cake etc that's why people (generally speaking) are losing weight. If you substitute all the wheat products with 'gluten free' substitutes, which are usually higher in fat, sugar and calories, then it isn't going to work for weight loss. The reason people hail it as an amazing diet is that when you're intolerant to gluten you don't realise how bad it makes you feel until you cut it out, speaking from personal experience. If you're not intolerant, there's no reason to remove it from your diet | |||

This reminds me of 1984. There's a interesting section relating to this in 'the book'; ''The essential act of war is destruction, not necessarily of human lives, but of the products of human labour. War is a way of shattering to pieces, or pouring into the stratosphere, or sinking into the depths of the sea, materials which might otherwise be used to make the masses too comfortable, and hence, in the long run, too intelligent. Even when weapons of war are not actually destroyed, their manufacture is still a convenient way of expensing labour power without producing anything that can be consumed''. Interesting, no? |
