Hey Ladies I sincerely apologise for not posting in like...for ever! I have been ashamed, as I have gained a TON of weight. I'm back though- and have a wedding in less than 3 weeks and would like to lose 5 pounds before it! My excuse- new relationship. You know what that means? Lots of food and drink. My bf knows what I have been through, and is supportive and actually wants to drop a few pounds himself. More concerning- the recent posts on this forum. I MUST add that this topic/group is for women who are tall and want to lose weight- but healthily! CC is about health and support- and I do not condone members joining who want to go below a healthy BMI. There are groups and forums on here for people with disordered eating and body image minimouse- you clearly need some help, 90 pounds is emaciated for your height! I do not wish to sound harsh- but please read CC's guidelines below.

Hey ladies Hope you're all doing okay- I've been thin on the posts recently as I gained 7 pounds! I'm still seeing my new guy so we've been eating lots of nice food, and drinking wine..... I've bought loads of veggies and lean meat so determined to drop these 7 pounds! xmintree- I'm a little concerned that with your height, 125 is tooo low. I know with my height anything below 140 puts my BMI under 18.5. I know its none of my business and I'm not trying to lecture- but just stay healthy :o) Keep posting girls- I need motivation to drop the 'dating' pounds x |

The tattoo is gorgeous- I have put a pic on my profile. It really didn't hurt- I LOVE IT!!! Lildutch- I'm a 'proper' UK 16 now (a US 12) in tops and jeans and dresses. (I'm 6'1") and this was always my goal. I am still determined to get to my goal weight (175-180) so I will probably be a size smaller. Well done with the jeans- it's awesome! Hello Ladies So I woke up this morning and to my surprise the city is absolutley covered in snow again! I'm not sure it was even forecast. I'm still going to go to do my monster sunday workout though, as my gym is only 2 mins away. Last sunday I managed to break my swim record and swim 2 miles (128 lengths). It took just over 1 hour- then I indulged in a jacuzzi bath, a steam room and sauna session. I think today I'm going to stick to the main gym and work the treadmill/elliptical etc. As far as the nightmare periods- I have gone on some more BC (The pill, as well as being on the implant) to try to stop the bleeding. It's helped so far, but still not stopped completely. If this doesnt work then I only have 1 more option and thats the Mirena coil (though I'm not too sure about that). Hope you are all doing okay, and keep up with the hard work and posting! xoxo |

Wow- the burlesque class was AWESOME!! They taught us how to walk, pose, dance, coat striptease, glove striptease and nipple tassles! (Though I wasn't brave enough to unleash the puppies). Definitely reccomend it for a confidence boost/good giggle. After all the dancing I am down to 194!! Whooooop. Snow- I feel you shizz, the UK had it's longest and worst cold snap in over 30 years over Christmas... apparently more snow is due this week. It's Ugg time. Have a fab week girlies! |

myoelastic- Which pills did the doctor prescribe for you? I have the same situation- I got it fitted to regulate my hormones due to PCOS. I had tried the Depo injection, and the pill. Initially I had really light short periods but since Sept I had a 40 day long period, then a 12 day gap and then another 30 day long period. I am hoping my body will adjust, but if this carries on I will get ill and have to get it removed. |

Hello! Exercise update- I can now do abdominal crunches!!! 6 months post surgery and finally I can do weights on my upper body, do crunches and use the rowing machine :o) The scarring has almost faded, and it's feeling great. I will organise for a friend to take pics soon so you all can have a look. Posted a new pic- wearing a *strapless bra* and halterneck dress!!! I haven't worn a strapless bra since I was about 15. I have gone from a 44G to a 36DD/38D. Shoes- Has anyone dropped a shoe size after losing weight? I have gone from a UK 9 (US 11) to a UK 7-7.5 (US 9) 2 Freakin' sizes. How bizarre! Here's to a good week- ELEM!! |

Agreed with Queens of the stone age! 'little sister' and 'feelgood hit of the summer'= extra speed on the treadmill! System of a down, Distillers, Velvet Revolver, Scars on Broadway, and NINE INCH NAILS!! It's all about listening to the metal while you're lifting metal! |

I have had the implant for a year, and have also lost weight. As far as I'm aware it does not change it's function, it is still releasing hormones. I guess they insert it into fleshier parts for aesthetic reasons, not medical.

Hello all
Welcome bbstar! Well done with the running, the treadmill is my equipment of choice too, but I am building myself up. I mostly power walk on incline at about 6.5ks mixed with short bursts of jogging. I do about 50 mins a time, but I too am slowly increasing speed/time. Shizz- Wow- way to go with the exercise and 225! Keep going hun, this year you WILL see 199 :o) Debbie- Good to hear from you again! I'm jealous about Bolivia, sounds great. Mrs D- 195! Whoop- excellent stuff lady. Me- still removing the post christmas pounds, but getting there. I had a splurge at the weekend but back on track now. I plan to go to the gym as much as I can this week. I got some new clothes at the weekend too, and am pretty firmly a UK 16 now (US 12)-YES!!!

Ugh........... Periods!!!! I'm having SERIOUS problems with those :o(( Before Christmas I had a period that lasted 40 freakin' days!!! Then, I had 12 days break before starting again. I have been on my period now for 20 days and still going..... I have always had problems, I have PCOS- I had the implant fitted last year to try and control them but I think I'm going to have to get it removed. I'm pretty much at my wits end, always tired and emotional. I will go and see a doctor about it next week, I'm just super busy!

Hey guys It's been a while, I know. But I've kept on track and have lost 5 pounds of the Christmas food baby!! I am back in the gym, working the elliptical and treadmill and have even started lifting weights again (for the first time post surgery). I went out last night and wore a gorgeous retro cherry print 1950's 'wiggle dress'. It was really fitted and halter neck- and I rocked it. I will post photo's when I get them up. I have been keeping track and you all seem to be doing great, getting totally into it.It's great to see some old faces coming back, Ofelia I missed you!!!!! This week I aim to do 3 nights at the gym, for at least an hour each session. Goodbye 200's again :o) |
