I just realized my post must not have gone through this past Wednesday. I tried to do it from work so maybe that had something to do with it...

 

blossombat - if you get a chance, I was 149 on wed, sorry for the late update!

I'm very nervous about this weeks weight in. I know I gained. ugh.

I'm amazed that I'm still steadily loosing!! I weight every day and the scale has been showing steady daily loss :o) ... 4 lb away from a high-healthy weight!! Hope everyone else had a good week as well! I'm going to the hockey game this Saturday so it'll be a tough week but let's goooo!

Steph: Congrats!!!  Good job!! and that's such an amazing thing to do :o) :o)

... so my mini update that seems like nonsense now lol... I just went to get dressed and decided I'd try my skinny jeans today for the first time in months. Not only do they not fit, but ALL of my jeans are falling off of me! I rarely get to wear jeans since I'm a nurse (scrubs scrubs scrubs) and spend most of my other time in dresses/work out clothes/pajamas. Maybe when I get down to 145 I'll let myself go on a lil shopping trip :o)

Wednesday Weight in!

First off, I'm SO excited now!! I've ben waiting for 150 forever because I can honesty say i've NEVER seen the scale under 150!! I was overwight as a child, and as long as I can remember I've always been over 150 (and as high as 185), so this is a huge step for me.

Also, I've been so off track so I have no idea how I'm managing to be on my way to my goal. I've recovered since my birthday (1lb gain). This past weekend I spent at the casino drinking (which I had cut down to a 2-3 drinks once every other weekend -- previosly was drinking a bottle of wine+ about 4 times a week -- WOW, bad ideas) and eating out. I'm currently dealing with the flu (woohoo 103 temp and constant aches!!). My only worry right now is that once my body recovers, the cough/fatigue willl linger and keep me away from the gym --- look at me... full of excuses... maybe I'll just stick to some 30 day shred at home -- definately looking forward to being past these couple obstacles and to finally see something in the 140s pop up!! good luck to everyone else on their journey also!! <3

Janelle - I was forced to give up the shred due to time constraints, and the fact that my bf pushes me to go to the gym. So, I can't say if it would have worked. But I can say it was an exhausting 25 minutes. I didn't believe some video could have me struggling so much but it was entertaining and kept me working hard, definately seemed like it was going to work if I had chosen to stick with it. And it's the onyl video that I've ever stayed interested in past a couple sessions. It's like $10 at walmart - def worth it.

Sorry I wasn't at a computer yesterday! Worked a 13hour shift plus A 70mile commute each way (ew.).... This weekend brings my casino bday trip... hopefully my last challenge to this weight loss journey for a while!!

Just came home from the gym and did a mile in under 11 minutes on the treadmill! wahooo!!! ... I'm pretty sure I can do a lot better but treadmills terrify me so jogging a full mile is a big breakthrough.

 

ALSO: having a delicious lunch! Found a good way to squeeze in fruits and lots of vitamins: 1 kiwi, 1 cup frozen strawberries, 1/2 cup bolthouse chocolate protein plus juice... all into the blender! YUMMY and not many calories!

1 lb gain. I'm okay with this because it's been 3 weeks and I've lost 3 lb which is right on track with my goal. Also, I had a horrid GI bug last week and lost way more than I should have (all of which I gained back this week). And this coming week is my birthday... If I can pull another lb off of me during my birthday week Ill be very impressed!

It's nice to see the scale move but I'm scared it's all going to come right back!! I've had an AWFUL bug that's had me losing every calorie i put in myself before my body can even notice it. Ill hit the gym hard to make the best of the recovery though!

I'm aiming for 1bl/week. However, I'm okay with only 0.5 this week  because of other fitness accomplishments (getting my mile down to 7min on the eliptical, finally trying the stairmaster, having my bf teach me how to use the weight training machines). And I may have gone to a hockey game and snuck in a couple high cal drinks... But it's okay! Still a loss for the week!

Ahh I'm going to have to weight in tomorrow. I spent the night at a hotel and wasn't able to get to a scale before breakfast or lunch. SO, the weight in would be off at this point. I'll weight in asap tomorrow morning!! Sorry for the inconvenience blossmbat :(

I use to dye my hair a really bold red. When I'm halfway to my goal, I'm hoping to have enough confidence to go red again :)

hey... do ya'll weight yourselves everyday/weekly/randomly? I'm down 0.8 from yesterday and I feel great about it... but in reality I know it's due to water weight and other factors. So, chances are the scale will be back up a bit tomorrow. This is my downfall. The day-to-day ups and downs discourage me. However, when I only weight myself once a week I fall off track and start to sneak in cheat days when I'm still a couple days away from weight in,thinkin I'll be able to "make up for it" by weight-in day. I'm hoping I can break this habit this time around!

Yay a new group actually accepting members!! I just want to tone up and slim down - tracking progress with weigh ins but my goal is also a little bit of both. I'm a nurse so I need to build up my muscles with all the lifting of overweight people we have to do. I'd also like to drop about 20lb, so, about 4 months would get me almost to my goal :o)
