well I got on the scale this morning and I am at 159.  Which is up a little from last week but I know I'm eating well and exercising so I'm sure it will drop again.  

I'm in this for the long haul so a pound here or there is fine as long as the trend keeps going down.

I'm happy nothing changed!

I myself am up about 2 lbs since Sunday!  I have eaten well so I'm sure it is just fluctations.  (I'm not logging it)  I'll wait a few days and check again.

Good morning!  I hope we all had a great night.  I'm getting ready to take my little one to school.

  It is sad that a doctor laughed about so many not being at a healthy weight of well at you can be healthier.

My whole family was sick over the long weekend so we ate poorly.  Junk is just easier sometimes.  (plus lots of toast and crackers)

I'm looking forward to see how we are all doing next Friday!

Welcome!!!  I  hope you stay the course with me as we work our butts off to lose this extra weight!  I get the set backs as I have had many.  Now is the time to take hold of our lives and change for the better.  Both of you are very close to my own stats as far as the weight goes.  If you look at my profile pics you can see where I was.  I have not posted any new pics as they show my newest gains which are middle weight.  I hope to get back to 129 as 125 was just too hard to maintain.  I honestly could care less about the number, I just want to get back into my skinny clothes!

Feel free to post your losses your gains, your tips and tricks as well as any frustrations.  It is nice to have a place to vent without driving our friends and family crazy!

Great job!  As a PP said this is the place to talk about it.  I know my friends get sick of hearing it fast but this is the place where we all want to hear! 

Again Fantastic work!  It is very hard to stick to ones goals and make it life-choice, you should be very proud.

Cass 28lbs is fantastic!  I bet you would be surprised if you tried on some fitted sizes.  Stretchy clothes can be deceiving!  I cannot wait till you get yourself some new jeans!  One day at a time and we can all reach our goals.

Oh yeah I'm 5'4 and have been all over the place in weight during the last few plus years, from 125 to over 200lbs

I have tried lots of diets but I am back here to OCD in a healthy way to lose it and keep it off

Great job for you and your son!!!!  Very pleased to hear the success.

I too am down another 2 lbs and my clothes are already fitting better.  I weighed in at 161.6 this morning.  I cannot wait till I start shrinking out of these clothes and start fitting into my smaller sizes.  (I really need to do this as my winter clothes are smaller sizes and I do not want to buy more but I'll hit the Goodwill If I need to.)

My official weigh in day is Sunday.  I agree with the once a week but twice a week is a great improvement for me as I used to be a daily weigher.

It is sad that such an artical  might keep people away from exercise.  We must look at our overall health not just the number on the scale.

Hello everyone the cookout was fun and I stayed within calorie limits I just had well cooked burger without the bun and lots of veggies.  I did drink quite a few of my calories in light beer but hey it was just one night! 

Saturday I took an American arthritis course on water exercise that I will teach at my local YMCA.  I was gone from 5:30 in the AMtill  10 last night.  It was a long day.  They had sandwiches from Jimmy Johns brought in with chips and stuff I figured it in about 950 calories.  I did eat the chips as we had spent a lot of time in the pool as I was hungry.  I did not eat the cookie though! 

 After we went out to eat before we started to head home  And I had the most wonderful blackend swordfish and green beans and salad.  So I went way over my calories for the day but I made the best choices I could.

Any way today is my offical weigh in day and the scale said 163.4  so I am down 3.6 lbs as well! (Great Job Angela ) Granted this is my first week down since starting back but I am very happy. 

I'm still too new to see a pattern this time but in the past I tended to lose a few pounds for a few weeks and then stall or gain a little.  then in a couple of weeks I'd drop it back off plus a little.

Losing a pound a week is still great!

Hey Steve how was weigh in this morning?  I hope you saw a number you liked and if not it is not the end just a little bump.

I helped my PTO with a teachers breakfast for our schools finest and it was fun although I did wait to eat till I got home.  They had Fancy sweet coffees and breakfast pizzas that smelled wonderful, homemade muffins and of course the healthy fruit choices as well as yogurts and juices.  (A small glass of juice can easily top 170 calories!)  I opted to wait till I was back home and had a egg and toasted min thin with a sliced tomato. (With my black coffee as well)

I am going to a cookout/congratulations/goodbye party this afternoon/evening so I am watching my intake very closely today as I do not know what hidden goodies we might find.  I do not know who is making the food but I sure they'll be a few good choices.

Welcome, I'm so happy to have a few people to obsess with!

Stevis78 I know where you are coming from with the undisciplined exercise.  I am a lifeguard at a YMCA and I have no excuse.  I'm hoping with the start of school I'll get back into the swing of things.

Pam Welcome and congrates on the baby.  I gained a lot with my child and that was my eye opener and calorie counters help me so much.

Angela great job on the loss and maintenance!  It seems so hard to get back in the swing of it.  I'm hopeful that with every ones help we will succeed.

Cass maybe if my husband would hide the scale it would help.LOL  Stop in whenever you can and weigh on any day that works for you.  I am so happy that you met your first mini goal so quickly!

I will be popping in daily and reading post.  My weigh day is officially Sunday, but what ever day day work for you is fine.  I just saw I'm running late so I'll post again tomorrow!

You are not alone!  I'm struggling to get back on track myself, but this is the place to find help.  You can do this.  Just please take it from me and do it now, before like me, it has gotten to be 35lbs.

I have to agree with the make it as a side dish mentality.  I have now bought smaller sized oven wear just to make mac and cheese!  If  I have to make a larger portion of stuff I freeze it if I can or I portion it up right away for leftovers.  (In my home I tend to eat the leftovers hence the smaller cookware.)

I find most recipes can be cut down without to much problem.  My husband does very little cooking so he gets whatever I give him.

I keep waiting for the bounce back.  For now at least I can say another Tuesday down.  Things are feeling good this time..  I only weigh in once or twice a week and I am not logging addictivly like I normally do.  Although I might start when the weight stops dropping.  I'd like to get rid of another 5 pounds by the end of Feb as I'm heading south for a vacation but I think I can do it.
