i was diagnosed w/ hypothryoidism two years ago. since then i have had two children. after my first child i was able to lose all of the weight in 6mos. it has been 5 wks since the birth of my son and i cant exercise until my dr clears me on monday. i plan on doing the same regime that i followed before. eat healthy, dont deny myself foods, just eat in moderation and exercise my ass off. i agree w/ nattybry about mary shomon's book "living well with hypothyroidism". also look at her book " the thyroid diet". it gave great advice and insight. after reading her book "the thyroid diet" i had the tools to move forward in my battle to lose weight. her books are inexpensive. you wont regret.

i am a stay at home mom. i have two children (5 wks & 17 mos). i have a degree in social work but cant (as in dont want to ) leave my babies just yet. its hard not wanting to snack on the goodies that my 17 month old enjoys. i am one of those rare people who doesnt like pastries, cookies, chips and pasta. i do however love breads and anything potato. i try to avoid cooking breads and potatoes most the week. i usually have one or two days where i will prepare it but within a healthy proportion.

i was taking a "one a day" multi vitamin until i compared it to walgreens store brand multi vitamin. both vitamins contain the exact amounts and you spend less. i also take fish oil, flaxseed oil and evening primose oil. these omegas in combination is really good for you.

Is It Possible to Go Natural?
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
