About

Bio

I just turned 50 this year and have found myself layed off from my job, which is selling cars, and very overweight and out of shape.  I decided to do something about it since I am concerned about my health and the way I look.  I stumbled upon Calorie Count when searching for a source to find the nutritional values of the food I was eating, since I know counting calories and keeping a daily log of what you eat is an important part of losing and keeping off weight.  I was thrilled to find this site and have been using it since Feb. 19th.

I am just starting to explore all of the forums and groups on the site and am finding it helpful.

My goal is to lose 50 lbs. by about October. So far I have lost 5lbs. in about 3 wks, and am really looking forward to losing the next 45.  I feel really confident that CC will help me to reach that goal and would be glad to chat with any members who have similar goals or problems as I do.

My greatest weakness is pasta, since I'm Italian, and I recently aquired a real weakness for sweets, like cookies, cake candy and other desserts.  I also have a problem keeping from eating late at night.  My husband works 10PM to 6AM and I seem to be trying to fill the emptiness I feel after he leaves at 9:15 or so. Any tips anyone would have for me would always be welcome.

I look forward to chating and losing with you all.  Thanks!!!
