hello hello
my stats for this week: weight 66.8kg waist 88cm
ive been swimming on mon and thu for 45min &nb sp; walking 30min on mon and thu &nb sp; jump roping for 20 min mon-thu &nb sp; hula hooping for 30min mon-thu
its not as much as i would have like to have lost... but i guess when its that time of the month the water retension does have some effect =(

Great =) I will start weighing in on fridays starting this week. But if other days suit better, feel free to when it is more suitable. hmm...xbinxy1x im not too sure what the average loss per week is but the healthy range that you could lose and keep off is 1lb to 2.2lb ( so 0.5kg-about 1kg) It actually requires a lot of effort to lose 1 kg/2.2lb a week! I will be so happy if i can lose 0.5kg each week till end of the year =) then I would have lost beyond my goal! remember that a slow steady weight loss is what is require to keep it healthy and keep it off without the yo-yo effect. |

Jump ropping/skipping rope is really good! I burns around 700cal per hr which is about 200 cal than what you burn running, swimming or spending an hr in a spin class! Another bonus is that it helps form a nice shilouette/ body line. |

Thank you everyone for your posts!
This way we can all get to know each other better and hopefully motivate us to keep our progresses on track too =) oh i forgot to mention my stats last time: height : 160cm weight: 67.5 kg (19/apr/09) waist: 88cm
I was thinking if a weekly weigh-in session would be a good idea either on thursdays or fridays ( before the weekend when our weight might fluctuate a little). Keep me posted! =) |

Hi there Chibipanda =) Iam not a vegetarian anymore as it is was quite hard to eat vege diet when i was travelling 2 months over nov/dec last yr. However, I have always prefered eating seafood over meat and poultry and would not eat meat unless stuck in an akward situation ( i.e when invited over or going out to dinner with other ppl). And yes, I did too have a bit of a problem being a vege and going mad on carbs! i love beans ( e.g hummus ) , sweet potatos, corn, bread and all my fruits!I think that using selective food diets are not really meant for weight loss though it maybe a side effect. we dont necessarily need to exclude food groups for weight loss... it maybe a cliche but its true when they tell you " eating everything in moderation/ small portions and exercise is the best way to lose weight" =)

i have mid semester break coming up next week so might not be able to weigh- in =( i hope i dont end up breaking the rules and start being a slob again and eat gross food during the holiday as i ll be meeting up with my blessed *genetically thin* friends - [sigh]-

sorry sorry! i ve been very side tracked from exercise lately due to projects, assignments, assessment... ugh. (+ olympics are on too!) this is really disappointing i know... ive actually ended gaining 1kg and my measurements remain the same as last week... [sigh]
and congrats for the weight loss this week! everyday is a new beginning- so forget about today and yesterday... lets do our best!

lol. i know what you all mean... its hard and mean to have the weigh in on mondays... however... i deliberately decided on monday as weigh-in day as i tend to get loose from friday night onwards... so im hoping it will make me stop eating yuck for the sake of not getting depressed on monday morning when i go on the scales... brutal yet a very effective wake up call and start to the week. hope you guys have a great week! drink your water and enjoy working out and getting fit ;) |

it wasnt an easy decidsion but, i thought a smaller group would be nicer so everyone could get to know each other =D ( i ve never done this online before, lol. so just hoping it wont be too different from offline hehe.) currently there are 16 (17?) members =] if you guys want more members to join the group and leave it open for a wee bit longer for others to join let me know ;) im more than happy to do that!

im not a celery fan BUT during my busy days i always carry with me a tupperware of celery and carrot cubes =D really really filling. eat high fiber veges instead of fruit when hungry... the sweetness of the fruit can make you forget about their calorie contents and overeat them! ive tried natural suppresants but if you look at whats in it there isnt much super ingrediants... i found that most of the time when we are hungry, its actually our body signally that we are thirsty! drink water and if want something to get rid of some water weight, you can put matcha(green tea) powder in your drink bottle/water and drink it during the day. also, drink a tb of apple cider in a glass of water about 10 min before eating a snack or meal... but not more than once or twice a day as its not good for your teeth. o, this may sound odd, but their are accu points on your ear lobes which when pressed supresses hunger... so when hungry, start rubbing! |

yay! this is great =D yea... i also really want to lose A LOT more than 25lb... but i ve found that if i try to lose more than 2lb per week i start yo-yoing or that i start going off track and get depressed :( so i say start with a small achievable goal and once you attain it, make the next goal a little higher so you feel happy when you achieve something even if its really small lol. which reminds me... i should get a body fat% calculation done too! & ALSO - everyone get a tape measure and record your bust, waist, hip and thigh measurements too! its more accurate than just weighing yourself cos muscles are more heavier than fat cells so sometimes even tho u dont lose the lb or kgs, you will be losing fat and gaining muscles =D

thank you all =] yea... everything is good in moderation... except end up eating fruit often as i have a sweet tooth and avoid junk by eating fruit instead. The high fiber plan sounds good, i was wondering tho, are the dissolvable fibers like metamucil and fibersure effective and safe?

my calorie intake is around 1500 per day give or take 200 most days. for my height 5'2" and weight 148lb ive been told this is about the right amount of cal per day ... i take all my multi and iron tablets daily too...

hey :) im 19, 5'2" and 150lb i used to be a gymnast and swimmer so atm my current state is quite horrible and depressing...as i have gained almost 50lb in just about 4 yrs... i want to be healthy again and not feel so depressed and gross ... :) i have a very small frame so i need to get down to about 105lb... i went through a phase of having eating disorders to try and lose weight... but now i just want to do it the right way and exercise and lose weight in a healthy way :) i hope you guys will help me out and motivate me =D
