people w/ OCD: is there any ways to know if you have it besides seeing a profesional? are any characteristics about it definitive enough to know you have it?

Here's a link that defines OCD.. I think it's rather easy to self-diagnose.

There were two yolks in my egg this morning.

The same thing happened last week, yet has never happened before.

I feel the universe is trying to tell me something.

you need more protein in your diet.

LOL!! Yes, that was confusing. Let me see if I can answer that the way I understand it to be...

You burn approx. 500 calories nursing (actually, it's 20 cals per ounce). The first 8 weeks while milk is established they want you to eat the 500 extra to ensure your milk gets established (which it may deplete if your body thinks it's in 'starvation'). After the 8 weeks you can slowly cut back your cals, but they recommend no lower than 1600-1800 calories. From what I understand is any exercise is a bonus calories burned and will not affect your supply; though some moms I know said that the hour following exercising their supply did drop some.

HTH!!

I personally waited until my daughter was 5 months (to make sure the milk was established.. though I believe they say after 2 months it should be fine). How I did it was I slowly cut my cals back 100 a week until I was around 1800. It didn't lower my supply and I was able to lose weight since I was at a deficit (due to breastfeeding).

Hope this helps!!

Ha!! What is it with the elderly and not recognizing a pink outfit when they see one? Did they dress their boys pink back in the day? I had a couple do this to me just the other day!~

On Facebook I don't accept unless I know the connection. If it's a friend of one of my kids, I generally know who they are, and accept.

Here, I tend to be a bit more free with it. I figure we're all in this together, so why not?

I do 'unfriend' people here but normally only if they haven't logged on for a year or more. Once in a while I'll wait to return a friend, depending on how much information the new member provides.

I tend to mistrust friend requests from folks with no profile or who created an account for the express purpose of bumping an old thread.

yeah what she said :)

i think it looks pretty sweet. they use it on the biggest loser show, right? talk about high tech.

as for your question, i found this article and it says, "The basic principle behind this product is that you need to burn more calories than you consume. The device is strapped to the user’s arm, clipped on the belt, or attached to some other article of clothing. It then monitors the user’s calorie burning, as well as the number of calories consumed."

http://www.dietspotlight.com/bodybugg-review/

check out the article, it talks alot about disadvantages/advantages and so on...also user reviews.

"Some users report becoming obsessed with the number-monitoring that Bodybugg requires."

LOL.. I could see myself being one of those people!

I've never really learned how to blend eye shadow. I can do two colors, a lighter one on the whole lid and a darker one at the lash line, but that's as fancy as I can get. I need lessons. Of course it doesn't help that I've never been a girlie girl.

There are lots of video tutorials that are good at teaching this.. Here's some that Sephora offers!!

aww i'm missing make-up talk!

i think i have finally learned to do my eyemake-up. i used to just put one color on my lids, liner mascara and be done with it.

I do 3 shades. Dark purple right at the lash, light purple on the lid and a light shimmer on top :D

lately i've been doing a very dark gray almost black and the lash, silver on the lid, and a pinkish on the top. I've been using THIS quad, cheap and i love it.

I have the purple version of that one and also the dark brown. I love this eye Shadow

I love Stila's Eyeshadow. I have This in the bronze glow.. get compliments all the time :)
