Congratulations on the 8lbs lost....really good start.  It's definately not the easiest thing in the world to do, losing weight but can be done with correct eating plan and, of course, exercise.  The exercise isn't as bad as it initially seems....hopefully you'll enjoy it once you get into it Tongue out

I've lost over 100lbs through watching what I eat and exercise....occasionally I fall off that wagon and have a few days/weeks of going back to some old ways  Surprised  It happens but as long as I get back on that horse it's all good.  For me I think the exercise is the key...when I work out I want to eat better but whatever works for you is good.

If you need any support just give me a shout and I'll try and help out.

Good luck  Laughing

sdmom64 and ugamommyof2.....this is encouraging for me as my stats are similar to both of you.  I'm 5'2" (on a good day Tongue out) and currently weigh around 133lbs.  I eat around 1300cal on average but kinda plateau-ing a little and know I should probably up the calories a bit but scared to.  I've lost over 100lbs over the course of two years but didn't start calorie counting as such till January.  Looking to lose just a little bit more, maybe 7lbs.  I work out most days and burn approx 900cals through exercise on average so my burn is around 2400 daily so tend to have probably what is too high of a deficit.

Congratulations all you guys.....

generator....wow, your weightloss is great.  i'm 5'2" also and can't seem to get below 132/133  *LOL*  I would like to lose a little bit more, only a few pounds as I think 120 would be too low for me.  What did you do to lose?  I have lose over 100lbs so can't really complain  *LOL*

Well it seems the scale has been messing with me as I thought as it read as 60.3kg this morning but still good as I expected it to go up yesterday morning from 60.6kg so not too perturbed as I know there will be up and down fluctuations.  Let's see what tomorrow has in store for me..........

Tongue out

Hard as it is to do you just have to hoist yourself back up onto that wagon.  I'm close to my goal weight now and still have the occasional blow out.  I tell myself it'll only be for a day but last a few more than that but then I have take charge, make sure I don't buy any more crap and get right back on that horse and work off what I've put on.
I get weighed every six weeks at the gym and that's my motivation I must admit as it gives me accountability of some sort.  My blow outs are usually immediately following my weigh in but after them I spend the next few weeks working my ass off to lose not only what I put on but a little bit more so I still post a loss for next weigh in Laughing
I'm so looking forward getting to a stage where I can maintain as I just love eating  *LOL*
If anyone needs support feel free to add me as a friend.

Hi all...have been offline for a few days so not posted my weight from the weekend but my scales are requesting a new battery so haven't weighed in anyway.  Glad to read of a lot of good losses and good luck to all this week.

Will post when I obtain a new battery  Laughing

newmuse...I'm sure Bairn's posting was a bit tongue in cheek and she's actually mocking the fact that both of them are almost classed as being overweight judging by the BMI scale when it's clear to them that they are far from it

Add comments I started CC in '07 at which time I lost a total of about 50 lbs. I got distracted by life and now I have gained back that 50 plus some. I was terrified to see the scale some weeks ago show that I was only 8 lbs away from 300 lbs. I have been dieting and exercising consistently for the past 6 weeks. I am psyching myself up to stick with it. This challenge helped before so here I am giving it another try....

HI Ali...good luck with the challenge, been there and done that and it takes a fair amount of willpower and determination but you can do it Laughing

Back for another month, seems I've lost about 1.5lbs from last week so my metabolism kickstart (ie. three days eating like a damn maniac!) has done the trick.  Going to try and up my calories a little as getting really close to my final goal.  I weigh in at weekends so will be posting on Saturday/Sundays most likely.  Good luck to everyone

Hey Millie...just been sheer determination I think with plenty of blood, sweat and tears thrown in (well maybe not tears and not a great deal of blood but plenty of sweat!)

Just completely changed my eating and exercise.  Walked off about 100lbs, put a few back on then joined a gym and have lost quite a few more since regularly working out at there.  Hard work but definately getting there.  Have given myself a slightly lower target now so working towards that.  Have blowouts not and again but tell myself it's to kick start my metabolism!  *LOL*

but as for the 'eating whatever I want' oh hell yeah once i get down to my ideal weight i'm gonna stick my face, face-first into a cheesecake.  and i'm gonna gobble gobble gobble.  Might gain a few pounds but i'll get back on the bandwagon.

But i'm looking forward to my reward for these years of being "good" :)

hehe...now this sounds like me.  I get six weekly assessments at the gym where my weight, body fat etc gets checked and after each weigh in I go a bit "mental" and eat my bodyweight in crap for a few days  *LOL*
Got weighed on Tuesday and splurged til Thursday by eating everything in my path and quite a lot off the path  Surprised
Last time I got weighed the splurge last six days so at least this time was halved down to three days and I was back on the wagon on Friday.  Makes it worth it for me and kick starts my metabolism-in my opinion anyway (I'll try and keep believing that last part Tongue out)

britta and stevis78....well done to both of you for taking the decision to lose the weight and congratulations on the amount you've lost so far.  It's a hard decision to make but worth it when you start to see results.  As stevis says, motivation will be a challenge but you can overcome it with a bit of willpower (I reckon I must be running short of willpower at this stage Tongue out)

Good luck in your quests........

Congratulations on getting back down to 153...I'm sure you don't look as bad as you think in a swimsuit.  Just go and enjoy your vacation as much as possible and re-group when you get back.  And wear your swimsuit regardless of how you look cos you'll be on vacation and no-one will know you anyway! Tongue out

Have a great time.

Where are you going anyway?

I've made my goal but will probably up the stakes a little an increase it somewhat for the next two weigh ins
