Actually, most people who actually have gluten problems gain weight when they cut out gluten because their digestive system begins to work normally.

eating cholesterol doesn't just raise your cholesterol, and in fact, you want your HDL or good cholesterol TO BE raised. you just want LDLs to be lowered. However, eating eggs has actually been associated with both raised HDL and lowered LDL.

I know sometimes when I eat a scary large amount(like when I eat certain family member's food), I feel nauseously full, but it's actually very similar to how I feel when I'm hungry.

Actually, the 5:2 diet is just calorie cycling. It's not in violation. And I find it works really well.

A gradual transition would definitely be the best way to prevent weight regain! I would start by adding in things like tofu and high protein veggies, slowly transitioning to add fruits and other veggies, dairy, nuts, starches, and finally grains.

If you don't place a limit on it but just require yourself to measure the amount you plan on eating, I think you'll find you eat a lot less!

I think it's also not as simplistic as "complex but universal". Our bodies have evolved differently over time and it's safe to say the food our individual bodies can handle well, the foods that are optimal, is really an individual thing. Some people may do better on low carbs, and some actually need high carbs(if anyone wants a link to the study, feel free to message me).

Sticking to under 50 carbs a day(Dukan style) would probably be the safest way to eat the right amount and still lose that much weight.

Are you guys not reading anything the OP said? She said naturally it happened to be on the lower side. She knows she needs it(given, she isn't saying how much she does eat) but she didn't say she didn't want it. You don't have to harp on her for something she didn't even do!

I lose weight much quicker over an extended period. And I slowly went back to a normal diet so I didn't gain weight from not eating straight protein anymore(I did Dukan for medical reasons).

It's overall in and out, right? So if you added 50 cals/day over a week or 350 in one day, you'd get the same amount of extra. So it doesn't really matter when you add it.
