I work in a daycare and I have for about 8 months now. If you are going to leave your baby in a daycare, please be aware that as much as we love your baby, the baby is likely not going to get held and cuddled with as much as it would if you were at home with him or her. Secondly, please do not be one of those parents who leaves thier kid extra hours so they can have a drink or hang out with your friends after work. Just be ready to bond with your baby from the second you get off work, and in reality, it might be better for you both. |

Just thought I would announce that I am not counting calories anymore. I am eating healthy. I am not going to count every calorie I put in my mouth. Its crazy. I'm done listing what I eat. I'm just going to eat when I'm hungry. You have to eat to survive, but your life does not have to be about food. So here I am, eating a carrot, and I am not going to think "Oh! 2 Calories!". I will not post here again. |

You know, I wasn't going to get in on this little discussion, but as a psych major, I just have to through in my 2 cents. Don't you think that giving her more attention for eating less is sort of the wrong way to go about things? Not to be rude, but why else would you be publicly broadcasting the fact that you have serious issues. I understand having disorders and that you need the support (I was a closet self injurer for 8 years, and I'm 18), but posting it here is like screaming "Look at this! I have issues! Pay attention to me!" There is a whole part of this forum dedicated to people recovering from eating disorders so please stop making those of us who actually eat 1500 calories feel like fat cows. That would just be awesome. Thank you.

1.5 tsps of mini M&Ms are just 20 calories. If you eat them one at a time, its quite a bit. |

Okay, I'm really disappointed in myself. I had done really well tonight and then in the span of 3 hours I ate 900 calories tonight. Total for the day: 2140. I did burn 600 on the treadmill today so I guess its not really too bad. But I'm really mad. Really. Really. Really. Breakfast: Fiber One, 2 Apples, Cup of Coffee Lunch: 2 Special K Patties, Salad, 2/3 of a cup Corn Snack: 100 Cals Popcorn, Freeze Dried Apple, Slice of Turkey, 2 Peanut Butter M&Ms Dinner: 3/4 of a Chicken Breast, 70 Cal Veggie Patty THEN, MY PARENTS HAD A FONDUE PARTY. I PROMISED MYSELF I WOULDN'T OVEREAT. I DID. CRAP. Party: 40 Strawberries, An Apple, A Banana, Carrots, Celery, 2 Slices of Watermelon, 2 Slices of French Bread, and 150 Calories of Chocolate Dip. CRAP. |

Direwolf689! Its nice to see your calories coming up! I don't understand eating fish for breakfast, but more power to you! As for your apple obsession, I get it. I average 3 small Fujis every day! Oh. For dinner, I had 200 calories of pasta, a slice of bread, and more salad. My day yesterday was shot. Only like 1200 calories, but thats okay. My dad is having a party tonight so I'll eat more to make up for it. |

There are 2 brands that I swear by. The first is fiber one. They have their granola bars which are 140 calories and they come in a variety of flavors. For breakfast almost everyday I have a fiberone bar and an apple, under 200 calories, filling and delicious. I also love Kashi. They have granola bars and stuff but I have never eaten them. I eat a Dannon Light 'N' Fit Yogurt (60 calories and tasty!) and 1/2 a cup of Kashi's Honey Almond Flax (1oo Calories). That still leaves you with a 40 Calorie deficit of 200 calories, so you could have a tablespoon of mini M&Ms (40 calories) or some sort of veggie. |
