I find it hard to believe that you were even close to hitting 700 cals on this meal. It is in no way a binge... in fact, I am rather concerned that you even think that it may be... you mentioned 'disordered thinking' and I think you should look into that. As far as skipping meals or excersing more, I think you need to rest, read a book, and have some whole grains and definitely some lean protein!! Your run this morning was plenty considering the fact that you dont want to eat all that much. And anyway- YOUR weight IS fine. Forgive me if I am coming across harsh, but I think that you know that this is def distorted thinking... quote form you on another threadyou started and titled "please let me know if i am doing better about my nutrition " found at: http://caloriecount.about.com/forums/post/853 99.html "I know I was very stupid and did not eat much which also dramatically increased how much weight I lost. I started at about 122 now I'm at 110 in about two and a half months. I don't think this is very healthy for me. I am scared that I screwed up my metabolism and am going to end up losing all my muscle."

It /is/ hell. I know it well. I agree with you. Nothing is ever enough- protein, fiber, therapy, fat pics on the fridge. Lucky for me, today wasnt bad... my first not bad day in two months, though. More and more food is running my life.. Or more accurately, my fat roll and 32% BMI are really calling the shots.... Cant help, but wanted to reach out and say that I do understand... ugh! |

Hey everyone! Just to let you know I appreciate all the advice. And I love how coffee lovers understand! LOL So I have done well the last few days with out ANY sugar/ sweeteners. I am actually enjoying it! I love iced coffee sweet in the summer- and sweet brewed teas so I will be looking into the Stevia for sure. I am also looking into the raw sugars as well. I am not really interested in using anything artificial. I used equal for a long time years ago, and switched to sugar because I dont like artificial sweeteners and have read how bad they are for you. Thank you for correcting me on the Splenda thin- I call it the lesser of the evils, and though that may not prove true in the long run, I still have used it on occasion. But I just dont like the chemically taste. I try to eat all natural as best I can- and so far the Stevia and Raw seems like a good idea to look into. Also the soy milk might be yummy! I hadnt ever thought of that. I like the vanilla soy... I bet its good in coffee. Well anyway- you all have had GREAT insight and advice. Thank you soooo much! ;) |

I recently posted a question about coffee also- only mine was about my sugar addiction! I have successfully stayed off the sugar for a few days so that is fine. As for cream- that is REALLY important to the coffee in my opinion as well. I love half and half, but I found that if I used 2% I barely notice a difference (after a couple days, at least) I found the adjustment for easy. I am a bit ritualistic with my coffee so this was an easy change. I use about a 1/4 cup of 2% in each of the 2 cups I have a day. This ends up being (roughly) 100 calories for 2 cups of coffee. 100 cals I can budget with... (When I was adding my massive amounts of sugar it was baaaad..) I stick with 2% because I dont want the fat that is in whole milk either... |

Thank you for everyone's replies! I will continue what I started this morning and have no sugar in my coffee. I suppose if I can't make it then I will try the raw sugar... I hadnt ever heard of Stevia... is it like slenda or more like nutrasweet? I am really afraid of the artificial chemical packets of sweeteners. I suppose I consider Splenda a lesser of the evils because it is real suger (yet different, I know)... Thnks again to everyone. You have inspired me to go without, I am now even excited to find myself possibly liking it since I now know that others who had the same taste as I were able to do it. ;) |
