Congrats myy c-c stalwarts. I am very proud of this committed group-

I have had a lot on the plate, our beloved dad was hospitalized for one overnight observation march 2 and with a series of hospital mis-management died there 2 mths later.

Traveling back and forth to FL from MA, plus needing to find a job, kid home from 1st year in college etc,  have all added to the challenges...and I neglected effort. (still walked the treadmill a bit)

As I slowly try to get back on track, I will be committing to this group again! need some rotuine... need the support!

keep up the good work

Welcome to the newbies...and Jem hope sleep situation is getting better. would love to hear from anyone on how to kick it up to address the last 10- tough to lose ones..

Peace

hello all- yes EC still miserable...but we get 2 more days to complete Taxes.. yeh...uncle S.

Anywaywe shouldnt complain.. it is so awful to be home and looking at the current news... Sending  comfort  and love to the parents and students at VT.   I find it especially hard being the  parent of a new college student myself.

Happy Birthday jitka- just keep moving and  give yourself to a nice treat.  even just an at home  facial...

I will be 50 early May and I am looking forward to it, BMI registered Healthy last Tuesday... I have lost 11.9 lbs with 11.2 to  go...Also having a blast fitting on good-old clothes I didn't wear last sprin and summer.

I love the shvering idea Jem - I may walk outdoors next two days...But I will be in Fl. (sadly- probably putting my ailing Dad in hospice) but I plan to get out and walk.. Both parents have diabetes, and we are now going through the experience of this disease's complications and vicious opportunistic ways.  Watching the diet and exercising is key for me.

Keep it up all

Hi folks-  of course since weather matters...let me say grrrrrrrrrrrrrr, storm cold, misarable weekend in Boston, Sox cancelled today and the Boston Marathon will be on...but  in cold and rain.. God love the dedicated ! I'll watch them as usual on TV.

ok weight the common factor... performed a quick intervention to Princeton late Easter Sunday..remained in NJ, for 3 days.. and came back with 2 lb gain.. Jem599, where did you go and what did you do in NJ... I walked and ate minimally so I must just have been victim of the 2 road stop cinnamon-sticks, I needed to make the last 150 miles home. But they are gone now!

Finally wanted to share.. that after so many years of comcast cable I just realized that there is an excercise channel on On Demand... free excercise  I can add pilates aor weight trainning to my 40 min treadmill walk...ok so I now stocked up on resistance bands and pilates balls etc... cheaper at TJMax than at target/ Walmarts...go figure.

Long post ... but have a great week.. is anyone looking at a target date in August? I'd love a Target buddy.

Hi all , I may be post #236?

anyway- I will turn 50 in May... do not think the years matter much, but it nice to hang with your peers.

Only child recently off to college...I was far too wrapped up in her academic career, lost track of me & went from a sz 6 to almost 12. After being out of a job for a year.. I realized that I should pull the 'me' package together if I was to avoid looking 50 on interviews. In january I saw a segment on Good Morning America- how doctors agree that people should eat, it sugested a plan that guranteed loosing 2 inches off the waist in two weeks. It included 30 min of exercise and writing down what you ate. It seemed healthy and I did it and it worked. In the process I found CC and continued to log in the food and go with the exercise... now I am keeping fingers crossed that I will meet my target.

Started cc on March 5 have dropped 9lbs in addition to the 10 I dropped in the previous 6 weeks.  I now seem to be slowing down  equalling out with my trend..BUT this community is great and I am encouraged and motivated.

Stay positive all... we are on track even with one step at a time

So thanks for the lifetime fat free tip.. i am off to analyze and then buy it

Good luck all...

Weight Loss how often do you weigh yourself? Apr 05 2007

I have been following the 3-Ss; Same place, Same time, Same attire (prefably no clothes)

So, I placed the scale 2 paces before the toliet... to remember to step on every morning . Yes it can be discouraging to have a .4 / .8 increase on the previous day, but I log it anyway (ouch)  wincing as the gaph line turns up.  Interestingly, I have noticed that these up-turns are on the days that I have fallen below a 1200 K-intake and it doesn't matter if I did worked out more.

Figured I cant fool the old bod- and I become more careful in the nutrition on the days I "line-up"

Thanks ...I like the idea of having an official weigh in day... will make mine Saturday Morning,

15 lbs to go to goal...

Returned daughter to Princeton on Mon and Tue.. No run (pew) also shifted diet..but Wed... finised up 3/2 for only 30 mins.

Today for the heck of it I hopped on the tm to see how many mins I could cover without dying, well I talked myself into 15 minutes =1.3 miles!!

I am graduating to the 3/3

keep up the good work everyone! and your encouragement means a lot..happy trails

I recently joined and started  following the plan by fellow member (dijib) in this Forum tag line  Learn to Run - Who wants to do this with me??

she has it set for 6/8 weeks but I am doing week 2 for 2 weeks..

It always takes time to build (in my case re-establish) endurance in any cardio -effort... so start in doable measures your body will start craving it's  excercise as long as you do it daily..increasing over time. Remamber it takes 21 days to form or lose a habit.

I am on my treadmill but am itching to get on road-

Look it up she posted on March 9th 07...
