Medium hills today, a little faster pace than my usual hill workouts and at lower incline. I ended up cutting it 15 minutes short so I could do some watering out in the garden - it's been hot and dry. |

Another 3+ hour photo walk, when I came back the thermometer read 95. After lunch, I pitted 8+ pounds of cherries, ate some along the way to keep up my strength don't you know. |

I buy this stuff: Peanut Flour - it's peanuts only. For 1/4 cup, it's 100 calories and 12 grams of protein. You definitely have to add it to something or bake it in something. |

I think this stuff is the same as what is also called peanut flour - it's just peanuts with the fats pressed out of them. I buy this product from Byrd Mill and use it to bake up some pretty tasty breakfast "cakes" (not sweet but not sure what else to call them) - that I eat every morning. Supposedly you can add water to it and it's like peanut butter - I tried that and it was pretty awful compared to eating the real thing. For me, the appeal is that I can bump up my protein a lot for not too many calories. That leaves me lots of wiggle room in the calorie budget to have real nut butter later. |

Morning: 3.5 hour walk with camera gear. Sooo excited, I saw our 94th species of bird here, a Spotted Sandpiper on the river. Got a good picture of that and another good image of a Killdeer, plus a bunch of wildflowers. Great walk, if a bit sweaty. Afternoon: 1 hour walk to the mailbox (our mailbox is 1.6 miles from the house). All I carried was my water jug. |

I didn't talk much about what I was doing to lose weight either - I just did it. When people started noticing and asking "how I was doing it", and I saw their eyes start glazing over when I told them, I basically decided not to bother with those discussions. I agree to save it for CC or if you do find friends going down the same path as you who are open to talking about it. |

10 minutes warmup Metabolics: Can't make class tonight, so then did 35 minutes yoga. Worked on bakasana, did a lot better, esp. in the shoulders. (Or as the teacher says: it's the same as chaturanga shoulders!) |

I think you are correct that the potassium in many foods is not being counted in CC's analysis, but I think you must be choosing a different database entry for spinach than I. Whenever I add spinach to my food log, my potassium "bar" goes green. |
