I have always been overweight to some degree, although when I look back at photos, I was not actually as fat as i thought I was at the time. I have managed to lose a bit of weight at various times, however this time I am serious about it, and after doing much reading of motivational books, I feel that this time I am in the correct mind set to fix the rest of my life. My goal is to lose around 50 kilo.

I am a separated mum with 2 preschool children , and am  endevouring to get into shape in every way so that I can best  stave off/fight   2  medical conditions which threaten my life. When I began my 1st pregnancy, i was about 30 kilo over my goal weight, at 117 kilo. I was sick during this pregnancy and when i gave birth to my daughter, i found that i'd lost 20 kilo during the pregnancy. Wow,  97 kilo again, I felt thin, lol, after so many years of being over 100 kilo. After having my 2nd child, i was still 97 kilo until she was 3 months old, and I was diagnosed with a rare cancer, which, while being incurable, may be manageable and give me a chance at a normal lifespan. Once I got my sense of  taste back after treatment,  I went over board on the emotional eating, and put on 33 kilo in about 18 months. I can't believe i allowed things to get that out of hand.

Having spent  the last 2 years at rock bottom, I'm now ready to climb back up, and am eager to eat healthy and exercise so that i can enjoy life and live it.  I  have lost 8 kilo in the last 6 weeks through healthy eating and walking at least 4 times a week, and start at the gym in a few days. Bring on the new me!

I'm hoping to be able to pick up tips here along the way, and hope I can offer something to fellow memebers in this journey.
