Weigh-in: LW: 174 CW: 170.6 Difference: -3.4 Thoughts: Seems like a LOT, buuuut, I was at 170 exactly on the 2nd. I don't know how or why I bumped back up to that 174, but I'm sure as heck glad to be back down to my almost all time CC low :) So I had my female yearly exam, and I talked to my doc about exercise and how much is too much. She's really happy and impressed with my weight-loss, and how it's been all-naturale. I knew what she was going to say, but I just don't want to believe that I'm working out too much. She said I should scale it back to about 6-8 hours instead of the 10+ I'm doing now. I actually skipped both of the Turbo Kick classes this past week. I miss em, but I can feel my muscles working even better without the added workout time. I think I'll give up something else next week so that I don't start forgetting the choreography. I'm feeling pretty confident about the 5k on the 27th. I hopped on the treadmill after a 1 hour core class today and cranked out 3.75 miles in 42 minutes (which included the 7 mins pre and post run). I jogged/ran the entire 3.2 miles :) I also set the incline at 1.0, just to make it closer to outdoor incline. With my previous 5k, I finished in 35 mins and only took a 30 second breather. Wish me luck in a week! muppet- Your tat is very pretty! Will you be adding more color later on? ally- I would be proud to rock a bikini with your current body shape/weight! You go, girl! And the uneven butt thing? I think it's probably because you've got your body turned when you're looking at the behind. If you look over the opposite shoulder, the other side is going to look different too. No worries. boots- GL on your hike today! Bring lots of water, some trail mix, a hat, and your wonderful smile; YOU CAN DO IT! favorite muppet: I heart the fox from The Labyrinth, Sir Didymus. One of my favorite movies of all time! David Bowie was sooo intriguing to me (mostly his package) as a young girl; probably one of my first Hollywood crushes. Congrats on all the losses! |

tinabear- It's only 8:30 am here. I'm just getting up I weighed in this morning after a HUGE poo, but I still feel like my guts are full of ish. I'm going to wait it out and see if I have to visit the b-room again before I post my weight. |

Happy National Oatmeal Cookie Day! dalma- I have an obscene craving for brownies and almost bought some at the grocery store 10 mins. ago. Then I remembered why I was craving them. I am WAY too easy to influence! I've got some more reading to do, and then hopefully I'll have a chance to respond. |

Hey, everyone. Just popping in. I've kept on top of the reading, but feel unable to comment at the moment. Thanks for the other b-day wishes out there. One small bit of news for me... I registered for a 5k next Saturday. Wish me luck. |

Thanks for all the b-day wishes, gals :) Carley was on the up and up, because she saw it on FB. I didn't post it here, but it's nice to have been on all your minds :) I did have my cheat day. I had Mexican food for lunch aaaaand Red Lobster for dinner. I'm stuffed, but happy. I'll not have any more cravings for eating out in a good long time! Worst thing about eating out for dinner? I missed my 2nd Zumba session. Ah well. I have Boot Camp tomorrow, and I've committed to doing a 5k, which is on the 27th, so I'll do some treadmilling too. Muppet/Akela- You two are "married" with your weights :) Very cool! Nice work on the losses! Everyone else- I did read and have thought about you all throughout my day. I just don't have the time to comment now. Hope you all love me anyway. |

Asia- Flylady is awesome, but I've never put it to practice :) I've read what the daily challenge and focus for the week are supposed to be, but never did any of the work on my own home :P I came across this article that I might use. Thought I might pass it along... Spring Cleaning With Your Preschooler I exercised for an hour this morning (Turbo Kickboxing). Weekly total: 650 Still feeling really blue. Tried to tell my husband that, but he just completely ignored me. Didn't try to give me a hug, ask why, or anything... I want my Mommy :( and HUGS! |

Why am I feeling blue all of a sudden? I needed something calorie dense to snack on, and was realllly tired of raw almonds, so I had a piece of leftover pizza... Guess that means I cheated on my Lent sacrifice. |

Just so you all can think I'm absolutely nuts. Here's my workout total to date (Mon.-Fri.). Up to 590, after Boot Camp yesterday and Spin and Body Sculpt today (all 1 hr. long classes). My weigh-in is jacked up. I know I'm gaining lots of muscle, and I'm slimming down, but I'm even more than I was on Feb. 28th. So anyway... LW: 171.6 (which was up from my lowest CC weight of 170 a few days prior) CW: 174 Difference: up 2.4 |

shapie- Happy to hear your trend line is sitting pretty in onederland with you :) That car of yours has been very problematic. Hopefully they'll get her all fixed up for the final time. Really awesome with the elliptical work today! Hope you weren't needed at work and that you're enjoying pizza/movie/Casey. Can I bank muppet's snuggles since I was a good girl and went to the gym? fay- Quite an accomplishment to have been to the gym with all that's been going on. Proud of you, girl! Do look into Zumba; you'll love it! akasha- You would be a much better woman than me if you completed p90x. I won't go there. SCARY! muppet- Keep it up with the March Madness! Doin swell :) About the skin stuff... I only mentioned my worst one, but Lord knows I have issues on my cheekbones and chin as well :P Did you end up suffering through your "gym class of death?" I say try it 3 times. If you're still not into it after the 3rd go, then step away. Do something you enjoy :) Here's my calorie target tool findings for sedentary (I log all my exercise.)... "You should consume about 1,308 calories a day to reach your goal weight of 155 lbs. This is at a reasonable weight loss average of 1 lbs per week, which should be reached by June 30, 2010." dalma- I googled the "rock n' roll stepper" and even read some reviews. It's a Tony Little product. He's such a spaz! The contraption sounds interesting and should work your core as you balance and your legs as you shift the weight. One chick said she was rocking across the room. Any problems with that? And goodness! One hour!!! It stated that 15 mins is "advanced." Thanks for always updating your pics. It's really nice to see your transformation from beautiful to beautiful :) WTG on hitting your March Madness goal 4 days early! fallon- I agree that your body is probably hanging on to calories and weight and not allowing you to see a drop in the scale. You may be losing inches though. But please, just be careful. This is coming from someone who has exercised 3+ hours today, but I've incorporated calorie dense nuts, cheese, extra rice, and 2 additional servings of fruit, besides my normal eats. ally- You're going to have to kick it up a notch if you're going to make your 180 for the week, honey pie! Get a move on! *wink* Ewww, 6 egg whites a day for days on end!?! No p90x for me, thank you! embalmer- Sorry the scale is retarded... Your long work shift sucks! Must be 2 different jobs? Cuz 10 hours straight is against the law. I'm not sure what to tell you about your dream. Maybe just really think about that previous relationship without the "love lost" goggles. In turn, weigh that against what you've got going with Joel. ~HUGS~ katy- My husband's name doesn't start with a J either, it's a P. How did your long day turn out? boots- It was really nice in Cali today. I spent some relaxing time by the pool when my son had his daily afternoon nap :) kari- Awww, that's sweet about your Jonathan <3 How was your walk today? You inspired me to try the yoga class at my YMCA today. Thanks! We have the Wii Fit. It really helped me to jump start my weight loss back when I started in '08. Now I'm more of a cardio addict and the Wii Fit just doesn't cut it anymore. OOooh! You're so close to completing your goal for the week, and so early still! Yeah you! iwill- It's really great and awful at the same time to lose weight, isn't it. Never knew I would have to deal with feelings I felt when I was heavier. beachbabe- That's uncalled for and soooo untrue! When you lose weight you'll be the same awesome person you've always been. They'll just be stuck with their awful selves for eternity. ana- You are looking very small! I totally see progress! Check out your tiny torso!!! I heart your list :) Have you tried the 100 cal bags of Doritos? They taste exactly the same, only you can eat the entire bag and not have to beat yourself up afterward! Sounds like you burn an extra 8-900 extra calories a day doing 1.5 hours of high impact aerobic exercise. You should be eating more like 18-1900 a day. timid- Sounds like you've been biz-eeee! Hopefully you've been able to handle the stress well and getting enough sleep. I had to ask my computer geek husband what a terrabyte was, LOL! Sucks to lose so much memory! Jogging/biking/general outdoor exercise comradeship is very cool and motivating :) christine- Wowza! You're killin those pounds and miles! Good luck with BL audition. Very exciting :) watchme- ~HUGS~ Because you are a wonderful woman. I knew I could count on you to put out an awesome 5 year plan ;) You chicks have got me thinking about a bucket list. I'll let you know if I actually come up with anything cool ;) So here's my workout tally for the week. I added in some extras to my double Zumba today, like 1 hour of yoga and tried about 25 mins of the hip hop class. The hip hop was not any exercise to me; too much explaining the next 8 count and practicing it at a slow pace. Meh, it was something new. The yoga was pretty good. I've come to conclude that I have awesome balance. We did lots of warrior poses, so strength training there. Anywho... 410 mins of intended exercise (can't add the 25 from hip hop), and it's only Wednesday. Better be seeing a drop by Friday! I want to be under 170 by my b-day (4 more days to go). Tomorrow is going to be boot camp in the early am and turbo kick/body sculpt in the mid-morning. Then I have to work in the pm. |

fay- It's very sad to hear about your cousin and his family. katy- Hey, how's it going? Good to see you :) embalmer- Take the batteries out of the scale until next week. And yeah, thinking about my "fat talking" kind of depresses me too. I still have to read the article though. Maybe I'll participate in the exercise, maybe not. muppet- My skin has gone all bizerk on me too. I think my deal is that I'm off of birth control. Boo for pimples and heavier cramps/flow :( Bet you don't have a big, red welt/zit on your nose :0P dalma- What's this "cardio thing" like? I'm curious! Morning yoga sounds dreamy. fallon- Too funny about the video peeps putting on weight since the original! kari- Yeah for walking with your man. That's sweet. Hey, can I be graced with a non-weight gain, healthy pregnancy too? Why don't you try out some yoga poses at home? You might be surprised what you can do :) Think I'm going to add up my exercise hours for this week, just to track them. Yesterday 2 hours of Zumba (am and pm), today 30 mins TurboKick, 20 mins weights/lunges/abs, 60 mins Spin. Total for the week... 230 mins. Can't wait for my usual Wednesday workout... 2 hours of Zumba tomorrow =D Five Year Plan- Hopefully we (family of 4 or 5) will be in a comfortable house, instead of a 2 bedroom apartment. I wouldn't mind having moved out of California, but I don't really see that happening. I'd like to be contributing more financially, which probably means a full-time and/or better than my current wage. My boy (only one so far) will be in 3rd grade; holy cow! And of course, I want to be maintaining goal weight :) |

So since going out on Saturday night and having 2 LIT's, I have been up on the scale. I'm also having my first TOM since ditching the BC. I've been realllly hungry lately, and eating more -and worse- than my usual. I know I'm not actually up nearly 5 lbs from my lowest, but it really burns me to see that on the scale. I've been keeping up with my gymming, though I slept through my alarm this morning (think it wasn't actually turned on properly) and missed Boot Camp :( I went 10 mins late to Turbo Kickboxing/Body Sculpt and stayed for an intense hour of Spin class. Very shortly I'll be having dinner... eating before 5 pm sucks... and then I'm off to work. Happy to be burning the extra 716 cals from standing, but I really just want to go to bed at 8 pm tonight. Hopefully I'll make it under the covers before 11 pm (home around 9:45). |

EDIT: I previously posted a journal entry rant about men, which I have now removed. Thanks to validation from dalma, I feel a little better, and don't need to drag you all through the mess. Besides, I may have kinda been a bit tipsy when I wrote it :P Long story short, men are not perfect, women have to either compensate or deal... Nothing to worry about :) |

LOL about eating a dog! Guess you can say I cheated on my Lent sacrifice... Not really though, because I did say that I would make exceptions for celebrations (ie, my birthday, our first date anniversary). So I guess I wasn't anticipating this particular celebration, but we went out because my husband got a promotion! Yippee!!! We went to a crab house and had shrimp and crawfish, along with some sweet potato fries and corn on the cob. I'm not a big fan of crawfish and the shrimp were realllllly salty, but it was an interesting experience and quite fun. As you can bet, this also affected my plans to go to Zumba tonight. Oh well, I guess I'll have to make up for it tomorrow. I am for damn sure going to Turbo Kick in the am, and it's a "new line" weekend at work, so I'm going to be running my tail off (climbing ladders, handling boxes, hanging merch, etc, besides the usual running around and helping customers). Good thing I went this morning and spent a good hour on my body :) I'll see you all later! Night! |

So I went to the Y, but I was 15 mins late for the Body Sculpt class, so I just did an hours worth of work on my own (22 mins and 4.65 mi. on the bike, and some arms & abs weights). I nearly forgot there's a Zumba class on Friday nights. I nearly ALWAYS work on Friday night, so I rarely am able to go! I'm excited, but that meant I couldn't stay longer than 1 hour this morning if I'm going back tonight (only allowed 2 hours of child care per day). I'm going to 1 class tomorrow morning (Turbo Kick) and taking Sunday OFF :) |

LW: 175.2 CW: 171.6 Difference: -3.6 Feels great to have a decent drop. I'm a little annoyed though, because my lowest weight on the 2nd was 170.0 (which would have been -5.2, and in line with the work I've been putting in). Thought for sure I was going to enter the next decade by the end of this week. My whole body is still sore (with emphasis on my quads), so maybe my muscles are holding onto some water for repairs. I also feel a bit bloated, with a strange menstrual episode, so hopefully next week will plunge me into the 160's. Congrats to the other weigh-in posters! You keep doin the work, it'll pay off in the end. iwill- Maintaining while eating out is no small feat. Cut that part back and you'll be sittin pretty for next week :) muppet- Hope you're wearing those jeans ;) I don't know what lunch is going to be, since I just finished my breakfast ;) I was extremely hungry this morning, so I had 2 pieces of whole wheat toast w/some smart balance spread, 2 medium eggs over easy, and an extra 1/3 c (=2 large whites) of egg whites. Nom nom! I've got some leftover salmon and asparagus in the fridge, oooor I have a Morning Star veggie burger w/tomatoes, avocado, and pepper jack cheese on a whole wheat thin bun that would be AMAZING! dalma- Having healthy blood work is such a major plus for weight loss. You go girl! Oh, and it's not that I dislike being called a sexy beast, it's just that being called an exercise goddess is soooo much better! akasha- Sa-weeeeeet! You've got this! Great work! Oh, and I ate my apple and thought of you yesterday ;) watchme- Nice brag, hun! With those kind of choices, you'll be getting the results you desire! Let your body catch up to the awesome things you're doing/putting in, and it will eventually reflect. krijsten- I call that a half hour well spent :) OOOh, I want to go see Alice too! akela- Sending good weekend juju your way! I want to hear some brags ;) msn- Well, if they were bean burritos, you might be surprised at how fast they work through your system, Lol! Having a mental health evening is also good for your body, so I see no shame in that. And yeah, I was pretty psyched about my lowest weight. Hopefully I'll be c*r*u*s*h*i*n*g that record in the near future! fallon- Liking your 30 min jog and 90 min workout! WTG! boots- Good luck at the dentist. Might be my least favorite place in the world :P embalmer- No, 26.2 lbs is NOT nothing. You're doing spectacular! It's hard work to lose what you have! Sorry about the late shifts. Hopefully they'll go faster than you think. p.s. Like my backwards responses (newest-oldest posts)? p.p.s. I'm heading off to the Y for a Body Sculpt class and probably some slow biking afterwards to relax and stretch my legs (and read... Need to finish Time Traveler's Wife so I can rent the movie!). |

watchme- You know I'm right. You need to put your blinders on and just keep focusing forward. No need to look down at the scale if it's going to disappoint you; keep your head up and your body moving. In fact, why not take a break from the scale? Eat your catered meals and a few healthy snacks, hydrate, and get 20-30 mins of movement EVERY day (or lump some together over a few days). You know what you're doing is healthy and helping you reach your goals. You are going to lose the weight. msn- Yeah! You're back! Shoot, I nearly forgot that tomorrow is weigh-in. I had my lowest, day before yesterday, and then yesterday and today have been up as much as 1.8 from there. Hopefully I can see it again tomorrow morning. Can't wait to have you back on the regular. We missed you, like your kitteh :) Thanks for the pic compliments. One of my goals really and truly is to be a hot momma ;) The bragging thing was started by moi. I felt like all I was doing was bragging about how I've been doing lately, and I asked everyone to post a brag too. dalma- You dress your body very well. I would have never known you have any type of extra underneath. I still see all of you as beautiful, however. I think we've got the same bottom half, like to the T. If you have the means to follow up with lipo/skin removal, all the more power to you. There will forevermore be something else I will have to spend my money on, I'm sure of that. If I did have the funds, I would be right with you. Again, thankfully you know how to dress and no one is ever the wiser. BTW, your dress is not magical, YOU ARE! Magically delicious muppet- "Power Rounds" sounds a bit like my boot camp. Though every session ends up being different, it's lots of random/hard crap all bundled together in an hour's time. I'm bordering a good sore and a "holy fudge, I don't think I'll ever recover" sore. I give you the go ahead to buy Waffles presents. Hello? It's Waffles we're talking about! dutchess- Doesn't it feel awesome to do something utterly and completely for your own well-being? I understand what you mean about seeing your reflection. I'm positive the mirror in our exercise room is what keeps me running for extended periods of time. I just STARE at myself, and keep thinking in my head, "You'll be even better after a good run." Yeah for disappearing love handles! Wish I could tell my momma pooch to take a hike! The 10 yr old version of you sister must have been adorable! karimcb- What type of exercise are you going to spend your 210 mins. on? I'm a bit of a cardio junkie. I adore Zumba, Cardio Kickboxing, elliptical, treadmill and bike (spinning and stationary). dani- Hope you feel better after a good night's rest. That little sister sounds like such a sweetheart. boots- How was the soup? Thanks also for calling me a goddess instead of a beast. I much prefer that one ;) iwill- Hallelujah with your ass comment! That's one thing I could never be without is a nice bubbly behind. I think I'd look realllly odd! LOL about French restaurants in London :) Poor kitteh! Sounds like it could be really hilarious to watch him, though :) |

fay- I'm sorry about your cousin. That is very young. iwill- Some stranger asked how much you weigh/have lost??? Ka-razy! How's the stair climbing been going, hottest girl at the gym? akasha- Awesome choice at the pub! My scale is a cheapo one (but it does have tenths of pounds) from Target. Like, so cheap, it's not even cute :P muppet- I am stoked for you and your epic jeans! See? The scale is not the only indicator of hard work! Next the poundage will fall :) Oh, and feel better soon. dalma- I'm jealous of your weekend, aaaand your "fortress of sexy, powerful womanhood"! Going to be great! BTW, I'm not bold enough to ask you for pics, but I will be taking a peek once they're up ;) boots- WTG exercising even when it feels like you woke up worse than before you went to bed. Sometimes I swear I must have eaten a pillow in my sleep! I'm bummed about your happy hour being ixnayed. ally- Oooh! You're getting close to your exercise goal :) Hope you're enjoying your "skinny day," but honestly every day at your weight should be a skinny day! Crab salad sounds really good. watchme- Remember what happened with me? I was hardcore, exercising 19 of 21 days and didn't lose more than 2 lbs. Now I'm down another 8! I'm certain your exercising will pay off. Sometimes it's just a bit delayed. katy- I missed you :) We still need to get together at Disneyland! Your weekend sounds awesome! Spending time with important people, raising monies for a good cause aaaaand getting a superb exercise! shapie- You're back! Sorry you're so sick :( Make sure you're keeping hydrated. About updates... DALMA is supposed to post nearly nekkid pics tonight! And we haven't seen Miss Barnes (msn) for the past buncha days. Welcome, karimcb! This will give you much insight about me, but I had to look at you profile pic again. It's making me drool, thinking your standing next to a 50 lb chocolate lion. dutchess- Yeah for "me time!" I'm glad you're looking forward to your nightly work out. I iz soar! <--- Sorry, been looking at too many LOLcats :) No really, my quads are truly burning. Actually it's only the left one that's super sore. No excuses for me though, cuz there's "no rest for the weary." I had my 1 hour boot camp session, came home and had a nice big breakfast, then went back for Turbo Kickboxing/Body Sculpt. It's actually feeling better now then when I first got out of bed. I took a 2 hour nap this afternoon :) Other than gymming it and catching some zzz's, I really haven't done ANYTHING today. I need to get out and unplug the TV (my son has been watching a bit too much today). |

Girls, I decided to count up how many for SURE hours I hit the gym a week, and I'm there for 9 classes each week (7 without the Boot Camp). I'm doing more than 540 mins. of exercise a week! I do an extra 2ish on the bike or elliptical after class some days, and that's not including when I'm off work and can get to an evening class! Sheesh! I will keep this up through April 3rd (last day of Boot Camp), at which time I'll probably substitute the 2 hours from BC a week to something like spinning. Maybe I should be a personal trainer? I seem to have no problem getting my nose to the grindstone with exercise. My jeans seem to be loosening up a lot (have to wear a belt, can pull down without unbuttoning after 1 wear). These are the same jeans I was too portly to wear until right before my trip in Jan. I am making some mean headway, as I'm now 15 lbs to goal! I wanna hear what YOU have to brag about now :) |
