| I'm staying on the diet - but it's easy for me since I don't live near family and will be alone. New Years on the other-hand I'm planning to go have some fun with my friends =) | |||

I love the name the chub rub! That's the perfect thing to call it! Wearing corduroy is the worst for it too. ugh...
I have a big dog that thinks he's a lap-dog. I want my lap to be too little for him to sit on - since it's been shrinking he falls off once in a while and it's pretty funny. Now instead he leans on me instead of trying to lay across me like he used to. I don't want arm jiggle when I wear a tank top either. |

| I really can understand why it would be frustrating to read some of the posts that are on here. I am not one of those people, I've had to work very hard to lose 50lbs and still need to lose more, so I do understand. What you have to realize is that there are a lot of people on here that have what I view as a very unhealthy relationship with food. I know what that's like too, I was one of them for a very long time (emotional overeater). It also seems to me that there a lot of people that gain a lot of motivation and support here that they can't get other places. This might be the only place they can vent or stress about what they might see as falling off the wagon, plateauing or not hitting the goal they want to reach. Plus, the less you need to lose, the harder it seems, so sometimes the people that only need to lose 5 lbs, needs a little more support if they aren't seeing the scales move. | |||

| I want to look lean and tone, feel good about myself and just be overall healthy. The number on the scale is just that - a number - I don't worry about that as much as how I want to look - for me. | |||

this probably sounds horrible, but I want to find the guy that stood me up at the bar about a year ago because he saw me before he walked in and decided that he could do better (his words - via text message). Oh - and I would like to introduce him to the guy I met that night instead when I see him.
Yes, it's terrible, and probably never going to happen - but a girl can dream, right? |

| I got a dog and started walking him 6 miles a day in an area that is not completely flat (they aren't exactly hills though). along with my diet, I believe it's helped me lose 45 lbs and 36 inches so far - since August. Lately I've started adding certain other exercises in since your body adjusts, but walking with the dog is still my favorite activity. | |||

First - congrats on the weight loss, that's wonderful and just because you can't wear certain things, does not mean that you should ever regret doing it or feel "cheated." You worked hard and should be proud of that.
I believed the same thing when I started to lose weight, that I would be able to wear whatever I wanted. I have an hourglass figure and can't for the life of me find a pair of jeans that fit the way I want them too. I have wide hips, no butt, huge thighs and a small waist. Here in the states some of the department stores offer free personal shopping assistance. I made an appointment and the woman was able to find some amazing things that fit me perfectly for work (I didn't even try the jeans at that point). Depending on how the designer cuts the material, things just don't fit - try a few different things in the same style - you might just be surprised, and if you can, try to find a personal shopper if there are free services near you. Where I am it's a free service and they work on commission, so of course they are going to make sure that you like what you're buying. |

my5 - they do have a chocolate diet
http://www.faddiet.com/chocolatediet.html To say that anyone diet approach that I tried has been worse than any of the others is silly. I've tried them all and they all have been bad. Atkins, slimfast, cabbage soup, grapefruit, jenny craig, weightwatchers, hollywood diet, pills etc. - I realize how much money I've speant and realize now, that I could have a much bigger house if I had just changed my lifestyle and counted calories and met with a nutritionist like I do now, a long time ago. |

| lauren - I did the same thing with suits for work. I found a tailor that was able to take them in 4 sizes and it was much cheaper than buying new ones. Depending on the cut - that's a great alternative. | |||

In addition to cutting you calories, make sure you drink a lot of water. I have a friend that was in a similar situation as you and he was able to lose an outrageous amount in a short time by cutting out sugar - not startches like bread - but sugar. He cut out all pop, sweets, chips and stuff like that and added in more fruits and veggies. I don't know what you're diet usually consists of, but that worked for him. I can try to ask him if he did anything else if you're interested - let me know.
Good luck. |

| Based on the nutrionist that I meet with, eggs should be limited to 6 per week for women and 9 per week for men to avoid cholesteral problems. However, if you're not eating the yolk, have at it. | |||

stuffing
baked mushrooms stuffed with cream cheese and bacon bits cheeze-its with organic peanut butter ben & jerry - just about any flavor homemade shells stuffed with riccota, shrimp/lobster and fresh mozzarella drowned my gram's secret vodka sauce I've haven't had any of this in about 6 months - I miss them all but am halfway to my goal. I'm almost convinced they will taste much better when I get there. |

| If you don't eat meat in the morning, what about adding a slice of cheese? The fat in it might help keep you full longer, and string cheese is already portioned for you and the calories aren't too outrageous. | |||
