I am committed to following a healthy lifestyle and maintaining BMI and weight for my age (53). I have a tendency to go overboard on all things so when maintaining weight, I want to do it in a healthy manner. I starved myself for years, then exercised myself for years and it wasn't until I had children that I figured out that health was important. I am new to this site, thanks to my daughter katrina...who is my biggest motivator. When menopause hit me I thought my life was over and my health was over....I laugh at that now. Funny how knowledge does not always help you with health. I am a master's prepared nurse, usui reiki master and hypnotherapist and I still do incredibly stupid things to my body. Eating is so tied to emotions that it is difficult to break the ties that bind and that cause overeating or undereating. I am incredibly impressed with the positive energy of this site and am finding it a beacon in the storm.
