About
| Bio | I am a 5 foot 7 inch tall, 45 year old mom of 4, and grandma to 2 gorgeous grandkids. I lead a busy life. I also work for myself in the logistics industry. The greatest facet of the job is the fact that I can work from home! It has its moments though. Sometimes its not a good thing to be in your PJ's until afternoon! Slightly demotivational. I've been at it about 5 years, and I love it! Anyway, I have some hurdles to jump, and I am open to making new friends online, or locally! I need all the support I can get. Mainly because I do work from home, I don't get a lot of adult social interaction. Sitting in front of a computer and being on the phone all day is also detrimental to maintaining weight. It would be nice if I could find a group of ladies nearby who want to get out into the wide wide world, and experience living! I started out chubby. When I was 10 my grandma (very old-fashioned, and didn't know any better at all!) found a picture of a 450 Lb lady in the Grit magazine, and cut it out and hung it on her refrigerator so I would see it every time I went. I look at the pictures of me then, and I don't think I was fat at all. Just a healthy kid! I see kids nowadays who are as big as I AM NOW! I know my grandma was just trying to help, and I've yet to determine what that actually might have done to my psyche, but since that I have been up and down the scale in an honest to goodness yo-yo fashion. Ranging anywhere from 230 to 150 and all plateaus in between. Right now (Sept 26, 2008) I am at 190, and that is up from one year ago by 25 lbs. UGH. I want to get to my ideal weight, about 140, and just stay there. I would be happy there! I have found a group here in CCP Called Wagon Jumpers, and WOW, do I really like it! Its exactly fitting me to a T! I have designed a plan, a slowly moving, long term plan, to allow myself to adjust over a long period of time to true lifestyle weight maintenance. That, I would say, is my lifelong dream. Not to be thin, necessarily, but to be healthy, and happy with how I look and feel. |
