The Lounge If Obama wins Nov 03 2012

This is in answer to the question: How will you feel if Obama gets re-elected?

I will be dancing in the street when Obama wins.  Romney makes me ill.  The more i learn about him the more I dislike him.  He has flopped on every stance he has taken. He has lied, the republicans have used underhanded means to frighten people and I find him distasteful.

His record in MA and his work with the Salt Lake Winter Olympics speak for themselves, he bilked the federal government out of 410 billion for the Salt Lake Olympics even getting 1 million of Board of Education money, and then boasting about the deceit and later lying when questioned.

He's embroiled in a ponzi scheme for 8- billion dollars, he has just been charged by the United Automobile Workers (UAW) and other public interest groups with violating the federal ethics in government law by improperly concealing his multi-million dollar windfall from the auto industry bailout.

He will cut Obamacare, but also says he will cut an additional 710 billion, he does this not like Obama who negotiated lower fees and costs to doctors and hospitals but by raising fees and costs to the seniors they will lose everything they gained from Obamacare and have to pay more for co-pays on doctors visits, hospital stays, emergency room visits, perscription drugs, and durable medical equipment.  He doesn't tell people that, they have to find that out for themselves.  They will also lose the donut hole help that obamacare provided and the free annual exams.

As Governor he cut 26 million dollars from the budget on programs that went directly to the poor, seniors, disabled, vets and middle class.  Democrats repealed the cuts before they went into effect, thats the only reason he can claim he worked with the dems.  They saved those cuts and by closing loopholes and making other smaller cuts was able to balance the budget without risking the poor and middle class-no thanks to Romney.

During his first year in office, the state legislature overrode Romney vetoes that would have imposed cuts of $7.5 million for children and young families, $3.8 million in mental health services, $2.8 million for cervical cancer and breast cancer detection and research, $1.1 million in services for people with physical disabilities and $1 million for veterans.

Proponents of these programs said that while they had little impact on the state's overall budget, they were critical for the populations they served, and in many cases saved the state money on health care expenses and other costs.

Romney's Overriden Cuts Include:
    Legal aid -- $7,564,132
Mental health legal aid -- $501,085
    Cervical/breast cancer -- $2,784,551

    Suicide prevention -- $125,000
    Prostate cancer prevention: -- $1,000,000
Healthy Families (counseling for young parents) -- $6,677,891
    Housing Services Program -- $221,925

I totally agree with you, when I see some of the younger people here who are so proud of the huge deficits they post I want to just cry for them, they have no idea what they are doing to their bodies and their health.   They need more information and a better way to calculate their caloric needs.

Christmas was great. I overdid it on the cookies, but I allow myself to overdo a bit on the holidays and just try to eat lighter for the next few days.

I understand your feelings, but for me I think the words "Supporters and Supporting" fit the purpose better than "friends" we are all here because we need a little help or "support" if you will.  Friends are great but they don't always understand the problems we deal with.  Supporters are people who cope with similar issues and can empathize with you as well as offer useful information on how to overcome the problems we face.  They celebrate our successes and commiserate our failures.  They give us perspective.

I find that once I have entered a recipe that the amount of the individual ingredients weight is increased in proportion to the number of servings.  I can't figure out why this is happening.  I put in the ingredients for the full recipe which should then be divided by the servings. It seems to be multiplying everything except the actual calories those seem to be correct.  For instance I put in 8 oz of carrots it now shows 32 oz, etc.  it's the same with all the ingredients.
