He was briefly in Back to the Future, and at least the first two of those didn't turn out too badly?

"Lightning Crashes" by Live. Its sort of an inspirational song about the circle of life and how things move on, and it makes me bawl, even in public.

I really just want one of their breakfast subs - eggs, pepper jack cheese, tomatoes, pickles, and banana peppers, on rosemary sea salt bread. Mmm...

Weight Loss What's the best snack when you're starving but at or near your daily limit? Dec 28 2011

Kind bars are delicious!

Are you STARVING, or are you just craving sweets (like your cookies?) If you're hungry, I'd go for a slice of bread with peanut butter. If I have a veggie naked chicken cutlet in the freezer, sometimes I'll microwave up one of those and some frozen cauliflower - comes to maybe 150 cals, tops. If you want sweets, I find little pieces are better for me. Like, instead of eating two squares of chocolate, eat one serving of chocolate chips. It keeps you eating slowly if you put one in your mouth, and the tiny size helps keep you from chewing, which you may do with a chocolate bar.

If you're hungry AND want something sweet? I've always liked honey roasted soy nuts.

I'll often take a protein shake at night - one scoop of Muscle Milk protein powder gives an ok protein/fat/calorie content and usually doesn't leave me wanting. Maybe a bit of OJ if my sugar feels low.

Honestly, if you don't bring it up and try to talk it out, there will be a lot of animosity and anger growing in you. You're nicer than I am, because if I knew someone was eating my food, I'd probably pee in it.

Weight Loss Lackadaisical Logging Dec 27 2011

Honestly? If that works for you, and you're seeing results, go ahead! When I think of lackadaisical logging, I think of someone pouring a whole bag of chips into a bowl, eating it all, and going "So, I ate a serving of chips!" Not searching through every single entry on the page doesn't make you a bad logger - I'm sure most people are like that.

Honestly, the word used makes no difference to me. Its like saying "the grass is emerald" vs "the grass is green". The function is the same no matter what they call it.

Our current cat is named Cool Cat, which I thought was the coolest thing ever when I was five and named her. She's 20 now.

If I had another kitten, I'd call it Professor Cuddlesworth.

I like Yoshi cause I'm a video game nerd. Congrats on your new baby kit!

Disney music is awesome!

I recently discovered "How Low" by Ludacris, mainly because it has a 4 step beat and I only have four steps back/forth to jog in my den.

I'm sure you didn't gain 2lbs in one day. Overall, one day won't make a huge impact, whether its one day of dieting or one day of indulgence. Its all about what you do today, and in the future!

The Lounge Fess up! How did you do caloriewise? Dec 26 2011

I'm not really sure, honestly. I did a little working out that I didn't log, so according to my fitbit I burned 2937 calories. But I also ate, in addition to the chips (which I probably didn't log enough of, the bowl was right next to me!), and the ritz crackers with cheese, about half a pint of gelato (400 ish calories), a serving of raffaello candies, a serving of triscuit crackers, and a few ghirardelli squares.

Weight Loss will one day of dieting make any difference? Dec 26 2011

I've noticed from your other posts that you've struggled with disordered eating in the past, and also seem to be having problems with it now. For you, eating 500 cals WILL make a difference - it very well could be a relapse into your eating disorder. No one should be eating that little a day, and especially not people who struggle with disordered eating.

I got...

1. A pair of noise cancelling headphones for work

2. A new fitbit ultra pedometer - giving the non-ultra I've been using to my cousin for free.

3. A stuffed llama

4. A kitty coin bank that steals your money and meows.

5. To listen to my 60+ year old uncle whine about how the Disney Christmas Parade got pushed back to noon this year.

Dear possible future boss;

I will gladly chop my legs off at the knee for the opportunity to sing patronizing songs about nasty little children who get their comeuppance in the end. I will sew the shoes to the bottoms of my knees and wobble. Would that be acceptable?

I've always found the tofurky gross, but very much enjoy the Quorn meatless turkey roast.

Or are you looking for things you can throw together at home? I personally wouldn't try to make your own seitan for the first time on a holiday - it's not THAT hard, but defenitely benefits from some practice time, time when you're NOT cooking other dishes, just to get the whole thing down right.

When I'm sick, I usually go for ginger soda, applesauce, bananas, mashed taters with gravy, and egg drop soup.
