About

Bio

Hi everyone. My name is Jenn,I'm 32 y/o, and a stay-at-home mom with two beautiful children. Isabelle, age 6 and Nicholas, is almost four. I got engaged last year, and we moved from the country to the city, to move in with my fiancee. It was a HUGE adjustment, (actually, I'm still adjusting...lol.) It was really hard for my children and myself. I began to get really sedentary. I found myself eating, even when I wasn't hungry. When I moved down here, I was a size 4. I don't know how much I weighed, because I have never owned a scale. (I become slightly obscessive, weighing myself.) And as the months went on, I had to buy some size 6's. I wasn't too upset about that.

Then, I noticed myself munching practically all the time. I came to realize that I was slighly depressed. Well, I guess that's an understatement, I was really depressed. I was definitely eating for comfort. I was feeling as though, I had absolutely no control over anything. However, that I could control what went into my mouth. And I truly indulged in anything that I wanted. Finally, I had to go out and buy size 8's, and then size 10's. I was becoming more and more disgusted. Yet, still not disgusted enough to push myself and do something about it. I was just so used to not having to worry about my weight.  I never had to pay attention to what I ate. I just kept thinking that it would all just start to disappear. HAHAHA!!! (I don't know what I was thinking!!)

So, being heavier, was making me even more depressed. My best friend of 18 years, had also been struggling with her weight. She decided to join a gym, start working out and using the calorie counter, about four months ago. I watched her, progressively lose almost 30 pounds!!! And I was/am SOOOO jealous!! I finally got my motivation!!! She looks FANTASTIC!! She has truly worked her butt off for months now, and it is showing. I have found that really inspiring. Probably because, we are the same age, both have two children, we're both stay-at-home moms, and we both never really had to worry about our weight.

Anyway, that is my story. I got my motivation that I needed and I am on a mission!!! I just started two days ago, and I'm off to a good start!! I just need to make sure that I keep this positive attitude going!!

I also just want to take a minute to say.... "THANK YOU GWEN!!!!"- you have been my best friend for sooo many years now. You are ALWAYS there when I need you. You pick me up when I'm down, brush me off and get me going again!!! You are my motivator and my inspiration!!! Love You!!

Thanks for taking the time to read this. Oh, and just to add...I did weigh myself and I'm 142lbs. right now. My goal weight is 115lbs, also to tone up and get HEALTHY!!!!!
