Congrats to everyone and let try and stay on the wagon

-I no longer have the flaps of fat on my back, under my arms (I hated them!!!)
-I was crossing the street and had to pass between motorbikes, that where parked and didn't have to turn sideways.
-I can stand up on a bar-stool in a flash, to get something down from a high cupboard, something I didn't even hazard a months ago.
-I can see my hip bones a bit, goodness I missed them.
-The first time I ran for 10 minutes on the treadmill I felt INVINCIBLE.
-I have crazy energy, I send my boyfriend nutty with all the organizing, cleaning, cooking healthy snacks and what have you.
-When the dentist's assistant called me into the doctors office, not because the dentist was ready to see me, but because she wanted to know how I had lost the weight.
-I am wearing pretty shoes again and I painted my toenails.
-I started buying summer dresses.
-I went to the swimming pool, went semi naked in public without dyeing (sp?) or wanting to have the earth swallow me whole.
-I love spinach, and cannellini (white beans) who knew???
-My bottom fits in a chair, in the sense it no longer extends farther out on the sides.
-I feel better, I mean really better!!! I needed this so much for me, myself and I.

- I wrote this a bit of time ago....it's only got better since =D -

I can not eat raw fruit. But if it's canned, cooked, frozen...basically no longer fresh, I can.

That said I have a problem with some dried fruits ie. dates...which is a shame I used to love dates =(

Hihihih, I just asked because I saw you like computer animations from your profile and well, you have paladin in you name...silly I know.

I played for a long time (around two years). Like ijiwaru-shizuka said it's quite addictive and definitely helped me pack on the kgs. Stopping was probably one of the fundamental factors in my weight loss, that and my Polar Wink

See trhawley and shane_paladin for the facts about total calories burnt per day, as I believe they are spot on.

I recently bought the Polar F11, it's great, I love it, it helped motivate me and educate me.

But... In all honesty I don't need all the extra functions. I chose to go for the F11 because the extra €30 seemed worth it for all the extra functions, the fabric chest belt and bla bla bla. But when push comes to shove all you need is heart rate, cals burnt and how much time spent in the three different zones (low, medium and high) and even that is kind of surplus. OwnZone is cool but I believe the F7 has it too...

My other half has already told me that he wants one for his birthday but that he just wants the basic F7; as it has everything he or I would ever need. If I could go back in time I'd get the F7 too, and have bought a new pair of jeans ; )

Have fun =D

(P.S. shane_paladin do you play wow?)

Hey there, great job on the 30lb!!!

My husband and I lost weight together. And although he initially lost more weight than me, many more people commented on my weight loss, than on his.

He found this very discouraging but the simple truth is: people will mention a woman's weight loss much more easily than that of a mans. Also, maybe you like my husband carry your weight around your tummy, it's a part of your body that is hard to see improvement.

I would suggest you take some pictures of yourself, and measure yourself. Every month take a new photo and retake your measurements. If you keep up your hard work you will see the difference and so will everyone else.

Good luck =D

I too go over the recommendation by making my oatmeal (breakfast/snack)with milkSurprised. So I started making it with water and adding 50ml at the end. But to me this seems a little over the top. I mean it's 0.05% fat milk, you can't get more healthy.

But then I go eat 3 Mars bars so I think mhe...milk is healthy, refined, high fructose corn syrup is not.

We know what the good and what the bad choices are. Its a question of common sense, and how much is too much.

Whey protein powder, non fat milk, frozen banana, rice cake or a weetabix a little bit of vanilla extract. Yummy.

Edit---

I use vanilla 100% Whey Gold Standard, I just got a tub of their Cookies and Cream protein, it is very sweet but also very tasty. For breakfast I'm using it with hot milk and fiber one, for a high protein, high fiber breakfast.

A big pat on the back for your huge weight loss!!!

Everything that sukibahsoun said is very good advice.

To elaborate on one of her points... Of not keeping munchy foods, or foods that can be made into high calorie snacks, that you didn't plan eating, in the house. It's all in the planning. Try planing out a whole weeks worth of varied meals, then when you go to do the shopping, only buy what you need to make that week's worth of food.

This is the article that helped me out with this.

Recently I have taken to making lots of food on Sunday, and it feeds us until Wednesday. This Sunday I made Healthy Mexican; Turkey, Chick Pea and Ginger Curry and Red Curry with Turkey, Chick Pea and Sweet Potato. They all average around 250 calories per hearty serving and you then decide, if you have the calories to add rice or bread.

Oh, and protein fills me up, especially if I eat it with fiber ex. 200 ml milk (no fat), one scoop whey protein and 40 grams Fiber one.

Most importantly remember that you have done an amazing thing! A thing you worked very hard at! You are taking some sucky medication that makes you hungry. But try your very best to keep up your hard work and stay the healthy person you have become.

Best of luck!!!

From watching the show, I think, that the men aim for a daily burn on their Body Bugs of 8000 and the women aim for 6000.

O_O

I don't know how much the men eat but Bob was talking to one the the female contestants and told her to hit her daily calories of 1200.

O_O

So this female contestant has a daily deficit of 4800.

Everyone please remember that this is a television show. They are supervised by doctors because what they are doing is CRAZY. They call it the Olympics of weight loss, I call it people acting crazy to make money and I'm not just talking about the contestants but also the producers.

That said the show helped give me the motivation to keep loosing weight healthfully at a rate of 1-2 lb per week.

Don't come!!!

We went yesterday, it's hell on earth for anyone who loves anything sweet and chocolaty.

But if you do come...There is an amazing chocolate and almond, no flour cake right where you get of the escalator to enter the center of Perugia (it's a big stand with many different things, chocolate covered fruit, various confetti and truffles etc. but the cake it divine). Milka has a fun stand with activities and free give-aways.

In all truth it's all nice, fun but a temptation from beginning to end. I hope you love it.

Thank you everyone =D

nardz I'm 167 cm tall in feet I think that's around 5.5

Also, I need a little extra motivation these days, as here where I live (Perugia, Italy) it's the European Chocolate Festival (here's the link). They have so much yummy stuff, and stupidly yesterday I came home with two jars of gianduia (which is kind of like nuttela) but in many different flavors....I got limoncello and Chill flavors. I will try to eat it slowly, responsibly and log the calls =D

Weight Loss Can't stop eating Sep 06 2009

Around 2 times a month I have what I now call the "yummy yummies" (I know it's a silly name but anyhoo). It's like it doesn't matter what I eat, I can't feel satisfied. It doesn't matter if I'm actually full I would still eat.

The only thing I know makes it worse is simple carbs, I know and understand they are all you want but they don't really satisfy anything past your teeth. Try to go for high protein things... I have been loving:

-Low fat (ice cold) milk, vanilla protein powder, breakfast cereal (I go for Fiber One), raisins, sweetener and vanilla to taste.

-Or cottage cheese, almond flour, whey powder, raisins and a little bit of almond extract (add some sweetener if like me you have a very sweet tooth), it tastes like marzipan cheese cake it's divine!!!

I have learned to accept that I'm going to have to eat or I'll end up binging in epic proportions. Just count the calories and go for maintenance. It normally takes 2-3 days to pass, generally because on the third day the scale goes up and I push myself back into eating right and working my butt off in the gym.

Just keep yourself accountable but in all truth from your pic you look like you are doing just fine, I envy your body!!!

Have you tried half-and-half?

Try the peanut butter with the Nutella....IT'S DIVINE, on a spoon, in bread (like a pb and jam sandwich), on your finger and don't get me started about adding coconut flakes....

My dirty little secret is I play/ed WOW (World of Warcraft) for around 2 years. But I have almost stopped as it's kind of counter productive to weight loss, lol.

I play Horde because I'm evil on the insideWink
