About
| Bio | I have been trying to lose weight for as long as I can remember. My real turning point was when I went for my 10th grade sports physical and saw that the scale read 173!!! I had been to the doctor before about my weight. It was determined that I had a slow metabolism, so I just kept being overweight and blamed my metabolism. That one time in the doctor's office, though, turned me around. He said that if I kept going on the same road I was on, I would easily weigh 200 pounds by the next year. I absolutely could not let myself weigh 200 pounds. I started drinking a lot of water, going to the gym every day, taking gymnastics classes with my cheerleading squad once a week, going to extra practices once a week, and eating healthier. By the first football game in August, I had lost 14 pounds already! I kept going to practices, eating right, and working out whenever we didn't have a game or something. The stresses of football season, basketball season, and schoolwork on top of that helped me lose around 30 pounds by the next June. I was under 150 for the first time in a long time and it felt so good. However, in July I went to competition with my youth choir where we ate 2 fast food meals a day for 4 days. Three days after getting back, we went on vacation to the beach where we ate seafood and layed around on the beach for a week. I gained 5 pounds. The next school year (now) I decided not to do cheerleading and decided not to take any math, eliminating a lot of stress. Without stress, my appetite is back and my weight is up. My clothes feel tight and my self-confidence is in the toilet. I have gained back all but 15 pounds of what I lost. My goals are to fit comfortably into my prom dress by prom, get down to a size 6 or lower, weigh 130 or lower, and for my BMI to say "normal". |
